Its very important to understand how much fuel was there before you filled in, the best way to check your car FE is tankful only only upto teh auto cutoff pls dont over load the fuel tank, also be very careful with the Pump guys they would tell you sirji round figure latta houn etc, always ask them to put the fuel in auto shut mode.

Once you are done with ur tankful then drive for 300km (if you can come to the same petrol pump, and teh same nozzel) or else any other fuel station fill again to autoshut mode and then u get the exact method.

@Rajvel, we dont know what fuel might have been in his tank earlier anyways 25/300 12 is the perfcet calc.

I cant tell you the exact mileage of CNG because it really depends on the pressure and gas gone in.

I do not get this point. Can you pls explain this. And the same logic goes for AUTO LPG also?. Cos I have LPG spark and I am getting lot of variance at every fill.

Iam not in a possition to decide or plan anything. Some time it gives upto 10/11 some times 6/7. The varriance is huge.

Just this time I had a thought that even the fuel bunk might have somehting to do this. So i have thought of filling gas in different station [ wheneever i fill here it seems to be more FE]

Dear Petrolheads,

Simple question ..what kind of fuel efficiency does your baby give you?

My 2011 Hyundai i10 1.1 iRDE2 consistently gives me around 14 kmpl (city - with and w/o AC). the lowest figure i got was 10 kmpl when i drove like a lunatic....

16 to 17 kmpl approx on the highway.

actually mine was company fitted. I bought LPG fitted vehicles. So No idea what would be the cost for kit alone. Sorry.

Check for OEM one from dealer to avoid the warranty and safety issues !!

Guys I have never measured the fuel economy by any methods like tank full to tank full etc but still my fuel economy figures are as follows:

Esteem LXI:
Fuel:Petrol.
City:10-11 kpl.
Highway:14-15 kpl max.

Toyota Innova 2012 G variant:
Fuel:Diesel.
City:8-9 kpl.
Highway:12-13 kpl.Yes,my brother keeps on bragging that he gets 15-16 kpl on the same car.

Maruti 800:
Fuel:Petrol and CNG
City:13-14 kpl on petrol.
Highway:17-18 kpl or petrol and maybe 19 kpl on CNG.
