Happy independence day too.
Thanks again jettasam. How was the celebrations?
This time 15th is coinciding with Friday. Some big celebrations at Indian Embassy. This event took place some time in early morning, and we could not make out this time.

Attaching two photos of early morning tea break, some where in between Mysore and Ooty.

Where friends are
I missed this note. The bonnet is raised and what is next to the front bumper is not visible in Fortuner. The fender mirror is handy in such cases. Need some experiences with reference to objects and vehicle are needed. Will get experience over the time. It is really useful. Attaching one photo where were moving to Coonoor. A narrow road, and this vehicle can just move. The fence is just next to the door. The mirror helped me in those roads.
Can you take fender mirror photo from driving seat & post here (at your leisure time)?

I wish 4x4, then situation would have been different. 4x2 AT never let me down. It took me the places, where it is not supposed to drive.
How Innova behaved on the same road? Whether Innova travelled on same road, if yes, was it same or difficult compared to Fortuner?

Dimensions of Fortuner vs Innova
Length (mm) 4705 4585
Width (mm) 1840 1760
Height (mm) 1850 1760
Wheelbase (mm) 2750 2750
Ground Clearance (mm) 220 176
Kerb Weight (kg) 1970 1680

Innova also performed well on different terrain. We lost in GPS and and missed the correct path. Some villagers guided but through very bad roads. These roads are very narrow. I was careful due to width of the vehicle with two ORVMs. The ORVMs can be folded electronically. Innova with small ORVMs (relatively-width wise) were convineinet in such case. I was concerned about the width of the road and vehicle width.

The entrance to parking place of Ooty lake (Annexe) was slippery due to rain and slush. Check this photo.

Innova performed well due to narrow and small tyre. Fortuner did not take in the first attempt due to wheel spin. The front left tyre was spinning in this case. The wide tyre is good on good roads and bad on bad roads!!!. The rain with slush wished me a split second about 4x4. Will update soon with Fender Mirror.

Enjoy !!!

On way back from Ernakulam to Thiruvalla, we found this restaurant Travancore Palace Restaurant. Very good ambiance. Excellent food. Anyone tried this?
