Guys just called up the MPL and enquired about the tail lamps for ikon and got shocked![[shock]](https://www.theautomotiveindia.com/forums/images/smilies/Shock.gif "Shock [shock]")
to hear that pair of tail lamps (Left & Right) aka Type 3 cost only Rs 1100.
Immediately took the car to their service center in OMR and got it fixed.
First time ever the Ford parts at ASS is damm cheap than other spare parts shops. Other shops in GP road and Pudupet asked 1200 per piece(Left or Right)
Guys just called up the MPL and enquired about the tail lamps for ikon and got shocked

that is why always get idea from ASS then go search outside which ever you think better is go for it .

Upgrading your car step by step! I just love this and will be doing the same for my Accent!
Lights are looking good. But you have not posted a clear pic of the complete car taken in daytime yet I guess?

Still have not done yet. Will do it by this weekend. Nxt on my mind is ICE setup but I still need to wait for another month my friends has not returned from Dubai and another one of my friend is coming from Malaysia. i am planning to ask him whether he will be able to buy and come for me.
And to the mechanical issue. Water Pump started to make some funny noises sometimes and car gets heated soon but doesnt stall on the road and stuff. Expecting that the water pump seal has broken or some stuffs in it.
Can i know how much does a new Water Pump for ikon costs?

and I am planning to take a detailed photo of her but my dad has taken my digicam and he is gone on a vacation i really dont know when he will be back.
Till now i spent nearly 25-30k on the paint work, new tail and head lamps, new bumper and under chassis LED's. So far just planning to ICE her and the next step is to go in for some alloys.

Last week had a terrible noise coming from the car and all of sudden Battery light started to blink and i knew that the car was running in battery slowly brought her home.
Opened the bonnet next day and checked if any belt of the alternator had come out (like the one happened in Satan ikon) but everything was good and i knew that there was some problem with the alternator or dynamo.
Yesterday took her to the electrician and got the alternator fixed. The alternator bearing's had got jammed and so the rectifier and few other parts had got burned off.
So replaced the bearing and made general service of alternator and voila the problem's has got fixed.
Total Cost of repair's - 1500 bugs

Yup didnt get OE bearings but was able to get a Japanese alternate for that. Some parts you dont get OE like suspension parts, clutch parts, drivetrain parts. You have to settle for some other brand first quality one's like Talbros manufactured parts suites well for ikon and accent.
Finally thanks for the bling comment. Hope that i maintain the same glow to the car.
Oh, good to know that the issue was resolved so soon. And is that 1500bucks the cost of alternator bearing.

Another Service update:
Just changed the oil, oilfilter, airfilter and fuel filter.
Oil - PETRONAS Syntium 800 15W-50 (Synthetic Technology) - 1200 bugs
Oil Filter - Purolator - 180 bugs
Fuel Filter - Purolator - 230 bugs
Air Filter - Purolator - 350 bugs
Total - 960 + 400 labour (Including checking and cleaning the water pump)
