Your are within your rights in asking for Pre-delivery inspection (PDI) of the assigned vehicle. No dealer can refuse that.

If any dealer does so, expect something fishy and if possible give your business to someone else.

Also they should not charge money. If you tip the SA, that should be your decision but not compulsory.

You have every right to ask for the PDI for free. They have no right to charge you, it is your car. Please do not pay them anything. In fact, go on the offensive with them. [anger] This is just blatant!

I realy loved this car. I had a TDCI squeeze ZXi which my family loves a lot. I sold that now and bought Ertiga. I loved this car for its turbo lag free engine and its space it provides inside. Even now my mom and my wife peeps out from my ertiga if they see a figo on road. The only concern I had with this car was low ground clearence. Every where I have a thud noise my cars bottom used to scrap. Then I figured out the air pressure to keep in strange numbers 36 in front and 42 in rear tyres that saved little thuds. But still would scrap out when we had full seats occupied. I drove upto 25000kms and every service was cheap but the fourth service cost me 10k I was realy upset for a small hatch this was too costly.

And every service I leave the service delear would put their identity like new scratch or break something and glue them [cry]. 2nd service they did a accident and I had to wait 10 days for them to fix my car. they replaced front door and wheel skirts. But they refused to change the headlamp. The headlamp had deep scartches. After 10 days they gave me the car with scratched head lamps. I had to fight with the service Manager because they had spent lot of money on my car they thought of convincing me with the scratched headlamps and after long follow ups I had my head lamp changed. I think they took that money back on my 4th service 10k.[anger]. Even in this 10k 4th service they broke my left side tail lamp and glued them. I had to again follow up wit them to get that changed. I got upset with this ownership and though of changing the car and went for Ertiga[glasses]

Terrible ASS I must say. Truly incompetent if they mess up each time. Is there no other dealer in Chennai?

That's quite a bad experience. Which dealer is that? BTW, 10K for 40K service is too much. Did you not check the bill and had it justified by the dealer?

Mine on 40K service was 5.5K.

That was Chennai Ford. The Service Advisor himself not clear on that bill. After that service I was fed up and next day started posting ads to sell it. Finaly I gpot best deal and went back to my old brand Maruti[:)]
