Re: Foodies Zone – Best Restaurants / Eat outs Places in Your City.

I was in fact thinking of starting a thread for bangalore foodies [wink]. Never knew there was a thread for foodies.

The best so far :
BBQ Nation JP Nagar (Sevice - Hospitality). It is really worth the price. If you are worried about the price, then try out in lunch. Dinner is 100-150 costlier than lunch.
They got veg options as well.

A2B - (Adyaar Anand Bhavan)- Many outlets in Bangalore. Almost near to actual thin crispy masala dosa with less /no oil !

I Normally check @ zomato /reviews and go for food.
Unfortunately, the trending - Chutney Chang (No. 1 spot) was not that tasty. Buffet spread was huge.

Hope to see many more foodies from Bangalore
Correct.. Chutney Chang boasts quantity but not good at taste or quality.

Let me add some more non veg joints (if not added earlier) :

1. Richies Rahhams (RT Nagar, Frazer Town, Kammanahalli ,Cunningham Road ,Old Airport Road ) - Awesome biriyani and kebabs
2. Hyderabad House (Richmond Road/Koramangla)
3. Aalishan Restaurant & Caterer(Koramangala )
4. Lazeez Restaurant(Koramangala )
5. Tunday Kababi (Koramangala /HBR Layout)

Cheers,
Anshuman

Last month we had a nice dinner at "Malgudi" in Bangalore on my way to Air port.Excellent restaurant, if you are looking for Southern Cuisine, though a bit expensive.

Don't remember the exact location, though. Somewhere in Marathahalli, I guess.

For masala dosas, you have to eat in any Shanti Sagars or in any fast food places, they are the best.
I am a Mangalore masala dosa fan. Thin big dosa which melts on your mouth. I been to many shanthi sagar's. I never got that kind of dosas. I got the same from Udupi / Chennai . Bangalore I didnt find any restaurant which gives the actual 'mangalore/chennai masala dosa' other than A2B and few local joints.

I ate from Vidhyarthi Bhavan also. It was tasty. But a thick dosa. When i hear 'masala dosa', i immediately imagine that thin big dosa !

Try Puliyogare Mane in Gandhi Bazaar, you will love those turmeric rice prepared there, superb taste next to Layout Hanuman's prasadam.
I am not a fan of puliyogare. I do not touch it if my wife / mother in law prepare it. ;) I do not know why ! I do not like the 'bisi bele bath' too for some unknown reason. [embarass]

Tried 'Aurick Hotels' - Mauri restaurant Bangalore on way back from office today. It was '6th avenue' before. JP nagar, before sarakki signal. Just next to 'positive edge'. 290rs inclusive of taxes for a dinner buffet (weekday). May be 20-30 dishes. It was nice. I thought the price was 375, later found that price is for weekend.
You guys can try it. All dishes were good. Not stale food.

Yesterday, we went to The Gateway Hotel (TAJ) at Residency road. More than 60-70 dishes. But, felt not worth the price. service was pathetic. not a 5 star service.

Hi,

When visiting Trivandrum do try the new restaurant Villa Maya which has excellent food and good ambiance. A bit costly comparing other hotels in Trivandrum but it's definitely worth the money.

Then you must try that dosa in Mayyias (Jayanagar and Malleshwaram) you'll love eating there.
