Did you also see the other figures and whole thread? I am sure, you can call me greedy if I would ask for more than 14 in Bangalore [lol] But it wasn't even the case for almost 2 yrs and hence I was fighting back with FASS. After couple of check ups and fixtures, it gotten well for recent couple of months and it's again showing a decline and that was my concern. I would appreciate and strongly recommend you to check all the posts [thumbsup]
I have posted in my previous post also (Edited), I am asking the same again just make sure you are not a fan of Vin Diesel . Any car in the world can't give a decent FE if you are fan of him and follow him (whatever he do in movie).

The Renault diesel engine is really frugal and gives 20+ FE in the city since 2007. That is why it a darling for cabbies. But you also consider if they do mainly airport trips more than 70% of time they cruise at 80 in open highway.

Same engine in Micra/Pulse also gives 20-23 kmpl in the city. One of my friends own it so I know for sure.

Yes, the Renault engine does give wonderful mileage figures. In 2012 december I did a trip in Rajasthan (Jaipur, Jodhpur, Ajmer) and used the Verito extensively.
It returned well over 20km/lt for the whole trip. Back seats are huge but somewhat less comfortable than say a Honda City.

True, but even with 50% AC? I am happy if it's with Full AC.

Anyways, let me watch it for some more time. If works normal in Highway, the Bangalore to be blamed of course.
Update - Recent combination Highway & City drives.

Bangalore - Chennai Highway drive + Chennai local drives = 837 KMs - FE 19.10 with 100% AC [clap]

Driving Conditions - In Highway, tried to maintain 80 to an extent, but couldn't manage for more than 150 KMs [frustration] Moreover, my wife got so very bored and my 4 yr old son started asking is there anything wrong with the car? Thus just moved the needle a little above and maintained at 100. Multiple short city drives covering close to 500 KMs with not much traffic or congested areas, but most of the time was in 3rd - 5th gears due to bad roads. AC was always ON.

Chennai local drives + Chennai - Bangalore Highway drive + Bangalore local drives = 659 KMs - FE 17.55 with 100% AC [clap]

Driving Conditions - In Highway, again not exceeding 100. But this time, made a worst mistake of choosing Chittoor - Kolar Route instead of the regular AH45. The roads for about 200 KMs were single lane with multiple villages/junctions, so had to negotiate a lot and keep shifting gears. In cities, the first 310 KMs inclusive of multiple trips in Chennai city with moderate to peak hour traffic. In Bangalore, not to mention about the traffic conditions. Also, used it for house shifting too. AC was always ON.

On the whole, I find the FE to be great or delivers the best it can. The key findings on these trips were, steady speed in highway ranging 80-100 and early upshifting in city drives resulted in the better figures. Registering that in mind from now on!

FE Update - On a recent drive to Chennai, got a good FE of 19.82 with AC (30% City | 70% Highway). 2 Adults and 1 Child on board with speed ranging between 80 - 140, most of the time hovering around 100-120 range. Happy to see a good figure after a long time...

FE Update - I have been using 3M Diesel Fuel Additive for the last 2 tank fills basically to clean the Fuel System. The FE spiked to 16.31 for 100% City Drive in Bangalore with 100% AC [:D]

@figoian,
Can we use fuel additive continuosly?
what is cost of 3M additive and how many full tanks we can go for with same?

It's an expensive affair compared to others. Rs. 600+ for a bottle, which to be emptied for a tank full. So, total for 2 bottles of Rs. 1200+ As recommended by 3M, 2 consecutive tank full at first and again reuse every 2K KMs.

In case of System D, Rs. 250 for a bottle (250 ML) and used as 1 ML per 1 Litre of Fuel. So, it lasts long and cheap compared to 3M. However, I have used it twice earlier, but did not feel any difference in both instance. So, 3M is good to what I have experienced.

BTW, I didn't try the additive for FE, but to clean the fuel system as it was giving jerk with acceleration / deceleration. Though the issue is not fixed, it gave a better FE as a byproduct.
