Extended Warranty for Laptops - Worth it?


Does Extended Warranty helps in Covering unbearable expenses later?

Typical stereotype, there are many uses for them. An old computer for example can be used as server etc and who knows what.
No, that's a collectors item now but I do use a 14 year old computer, I use linux on it and it does many things very well. And by the way servers don't need to always be powerful for a LAN environment like file sharing, printer sharing etc.
Exactly. Linux is the perfect solution for old computers. We have some junked computers on one of the ships. We managed to make one working computer with the parts. However I was impossible to run windows. It worked perfectly with Ubuntu and Fedora.

I totally support extended warranty. I own a Mac book pro which costed me approx 70k and extended warranty must cost approx. 13k which will include everything from battery to charger for next 2 yrs. So 3 year trouble free usage.

Extended warranty is must. i had an old laptop and i didn't opt for extended warranty now the motherboard is gone... what can i do.
so when i bought another i got it covered for 3 year :-)
