After the exciting adventurous rounds in other metropolitan cities like Chennai, Bangalore and Hyderabad, Skoda India headed towards north to offer the petrol head citizens of New Delhi-NCR a good reason to enjoy and spend this lazy weekend. Today, Czech car manufacturer flagged off the fully action packed and fun filled Yeti Performance Drive event in Gurgaon to demonstrate the sheer off road capability and performance of this all rounder SUV. The event was well-organized by Jai Auto (Official Skoda Dealership) on an artificially built track with different challenges and situations that a typical SUV owner would usually encounter. First challenge was the Slalom Test. This area of track is set up using cones parallel to each other on a fixed location to test the manoeuvrability of the car when driven in packed cities. The second challenge which Yeti goes through is the 4x4 course where the car is driven on uneven surface (made up by placing two ramps) to practically explain how this intelligent 4x4 system works when a wheel is stuck into the mud and immediately transfers all the power to other. The third part of this event is personally my favourite when the car has to climb a steep ramp ala hilly terrain. It explains the unique hill descent control of Yeti which certainly is a bonus for those who travel on hilly roads quite often. Rest of the event was concluded by demonstrating the day-to-day features such as Anti-Blockier System on wet conditions, Cornering Headlamps Management and more.
