Oh [surprise]. You want to use it in Delhi. May be you were aware about this news. I hope this law in making.
Ya Gandhi, I am aware, actually more than driving the reason behind my urge to own a Premier Padmini back and restore it is that it was the 1st car that my dad owned. Till now if we ever talk of that car he gets nostalgic. It would rather be a collectible than one for use. There are vintage car rallies in Delhi during winters in which my uncle showcases his restored vehicles so I too wish that someday I'll be part of it!

Nice thread[:)]Akash1886,

I have always wanted to own a vintage beauty, as of now I don't have the budget, but I will realize the dream one day. I would like to own something like the Standard 2000, the Rover SD1, the car was a stunner back then (now too since it had a great timeless design), Needed a better engine.
I would want to start a thread on restoring a standard 2000 on this forum.[thumbswink]
But finding one might be next to impossible.

Cheers

I always wished to own a vintage car, but the time and money required kept me away from it. Recently found an ad in olx selling a Morris Minor as cheap as below 50K. Bookmarked that page right then and from that day I am opening that olx page everyday and reading it again and again. Finally called up the owner this week, from the pic the exterior is almost gone (looks like scrap [surprise]) but the owner claims the 'papers' are all clear and the car has got new battery and tyres and it is in running condition. I won't be continuously available here in India at least till mid 2015, So I am in a big dilemma now. Also I have absolutely no idea what may be the cost involved in restoring it completely. The logical me says leave it and you can look for something later, the enthusiast in me says buy it and keep it, you can restore it later. I am yet to see the vehicle as it is almost 400KM away from my place [confused].
