Hi Ilango,

Are the LEDs 3V one? Just wanted to know the way in which those are connected. Series/Parallel stuffs. If possible, can you please post the pic of backside of PCB.

The only thing that makes the fuss is if single LED fails.

Thanks sriharsha, but sorry cant tell you the exact prices because I actually dont know it and I got them for free(infact we have an accout with him so he might add in it!!) from the supplyer with whom we do our dealings! Well I will try and find out the prices!

Cut the pcb for your required size

Led cost 1 re for 3

pcb a 5 X 5 cost 15/- can use for 2 to 3 cars


ready made ones are 90/-
Fixing the ready made ones are like "grears" work

Yes! you are correct Ilango! But the sad part was that, I wasnt able to find blank PCBs!
And bro its not "grears" itz "GEARS" (I know itz spelling mistake!!!)

but i need to confirm one thing. the bulbs used by gears in the small PCB's are different from that which he has used in the boot right? i know that the boot ones are normal bulbs. but what about the other ones?

Harsha its LED's(Light Emitting Diode) & not bulb .

Well, the small strips has LEDs with 4legs and the one in the boot has 2legs, thats only the difference! The original boot light was too small, so decided to fix a LED strip itself. Have the look at the attached pic!

i know it buddy. but just have a closer look at them. the big PCB has normal led's but the ones on the smaller PCB's are a bit different.

naah!! not the size of the PCB. but the LED's. see that the ones he has used in the boot is different from the ones used inside the cabin.

buddy i don't have any problem in opening the cover. but the space inside the cover of the alto is not too much as in the case of the dzire.

I didnt got this!! High power and costlier?? I thought LEDs were of same power and rate!
Experts plz elaborate more !!

I think that there are only 2 types of LEDs
The one with 2 terminals and the one with 3 terminals.
4 terminal LED is new to me.

no guys. LED's are not so simple as you think. there are also 250 volts, 3W LED's. just see the following linky.
