Is the process very complex? I don't have any one helping me out so can this be done alone?

Regards,
Sankar
Sorry for the late reply bro.

I would suggest ask any friend of yours to join you because to apply it on roof it would require two.
It can be done alone but you might feel alone sometime when you have to move the sheet here and there on the roof.
Don't forget to apply the soap water otherwise the sticker will stick permanently and you won't be able to shift it for perfection.

Place it properly and then let it dry. Do post pics of the DIY bro. waiting...

@mods sorry I forgot to use multi quote earlier.

No no no don't want to practice and ruin the look of my car as it is my daily ride. My query is can this be done as diy alone?

Regards,
Sankar
It can be done alone al well. I would ask you to try it as if you feel it not possible you can remove the sheet till the soap water dries up.

mm i am searching for some good quality CF online. Any suggestions where i can find then online? I have decided on DIY for this modification.

Regards,
Sankar

Ohh OK. [clap]

Firstly I would like to tell you that I haven't done my roof myself I was getting an impression that you are thinking I did it by myself.

Now the good part is that by looking at the 18 year boy who did on my roof it felt really easy.

I am writing the points which he followed

1. Clean up the roof properly.
2. Take a sprayer and fill it with soap water.
3. Spray it over the roof completely no portion should be left out.
4. Now comes the most difficult part as you are alone open up the sticker and spray on the side having the adhesive.
5. After doing this paste it on the roof and adjust it no cutting should be done now.
6. If there are any air bubbles slowly pull them towards the outside and remove them don't let the sticker move from its place.
7. Wait till the sticker sticks to the roof then start the cutting with the help of a cutter.
8. Last but not the least pat yourself that you have done a difficult DIY all by yourself.

I know you are eager to do it as DIY but to handle such a big sheet is a very difficult bro. The boy could do it easily as he had cut the sheet in two halves. I would once recommend you to get it done by some shop. In Delhi I got it for 800/- only.

I won't demoralize you by saying that it can't be done. Hell Yeah it can be done.[;)]

Thanks dude. A shop in Trivandrum quoted 2.5k for wrapping my roof with CF. Its costly so thought of DIY. My problem is my Dzire have an antenna in the roof right. How to wrap CF in roof if their is an antenna in roof? A bit confused how to go about this.[confused]

Your most welcome buddy.

Yup i10 also has one. So what he did was after laying the sheet from back to front he cut a small hole not too big just to force the antenna out.

After the completion I could see some small white portion of the roof which I asked him to do and he added small portions of sticker around the antenna and believe me you can't tell with naked eye that he wrapped small portions in the main one.

Thanks a lot mate. Now can you explain soap water that should be used? Thinking about doing the DIY this weekend. I would need CF wrap, soap water, something hard and straight to clear air bubbles and sheet cutter right?

Sankar
