Thanks for decoding. Does the resale value of the car depend on month of manufacturing or is it just dependent on the year? I have taken the car yday (got it registered in 2012) and after decoding the chasis number came to know that its Aug 2011 manufactured car though i had earlier asked the dealer for dec 2011 model. So how much does it affect my resale value and are there any other factors to be considred? The odometer reading says 19km only.

For Hyundai vehicles,the 10th letter represents the year of manufacture (A = 2010) and the 19th letter represents the month of manufacture (A = January). So your i10 was manufactured in 2011. The VIN mentioned by you has only 17 letters. You must ask for the complete VIN (Hyundai VIN has 19 letters) from your SA and decode the 19th letter accordingly to know the month of manufacture of your i10. All the best !

well 17digits vin is enough to decode it ,
