Looking good in that color. Front design looks very sporty and the side profile too, however side profile is little bit over-designed with the too protruded crest line, IMO.

In my opinion it will probably set a record as the fastest depreciating car in the world. I wanted to use the word asset instead of car but I thought it would be highly inappropriate.

Car looks good but at 35 lakhs would have preferred a bmw or merc. Serial production still has not reduced costs. There are lots of DC fans who might go for this

Such an established companies itself are going awry with the ride and handling department for their new vehicles. Hyundai, mahindras yet to master this. Will this kid be able to do atleast 20% of what these established companies manage?

The DC Avanti tech specs, price and brochure and features are out. The car
is powered by four cylinder 2.0 litre DOHC engine featuring turbo charging, Direct Injection and four valves per cylinder with Variable Valve Timing (VVT) and churns out maximum power of 250 HP and peak torque of 360 Nm, which is mated to 6 speed manual transmission with a top speed of 250 kmph which is electronically limited.
The two seater sports car is made on tubular space frame chassis and the stopping power if provided with a 330 mm ventilated discs with AP racing callipers having 255/35 shods in the front and 295/30 shods at rear, which are mounted on 20 inch alloy wheels.
Safety features include ABS & Airbags (as standard). Since body of DC Avanti is made of carbon composite polymer, kerb weight is limited to 1,562 kg. The other notable features include Bi-Xenon headlamps, motorsport-inspired fuel filter and glass louvered engine cover.

First lot of DC Avanti consisting of 500 units is sold out already, delivery of which are expected to commence early next year. Introductory ex-Showroom price of DC Avanti was Rs. 34.93 lakhs, but next batch of Avanti will wear price tag of Rs. 38 – Rs. 40 lakhs. The sports car has a large palette of 10 colours.

From below picture, I see some serious ergonomic issues in the design:

1. Dashboard looks high mounted and that would give less frontal visibility for the driver.
2. Pedals are placed too high and would be huge exercise for legs.

Or, are sports cars designed this way only? [;)]

To tell the truth,I pray for all those who drive on this contraption to reach home safely.If the given specs are correct ,a 250 HP plant in a flimsy architecture itself is a recipe for disaster.Does it have any security rating from any agencies?
I know there are many people who desire to own a sports car,but this may require more technical research and development.

Not sure if this will go through any security rating from any agencies in India; this is not only with the Avanti for the matter but any car that is manufactured and sold in India they do not any security rating that is mandatory before it is hits the road. Now that DC has plans to sell Avanti outside India it will be interesting to see the NCAP rating that it can achieve.
