Using this thread - can someone suggest led DRL for Sail UVA hatch, one year old. Pl share model, prices and where from best available Mumbai. Also should this be done at local mechanic - is it okey to fit locally

For continous or full lighting (rather than partial dotted lights), you can try universal COB LED DRLs available at ebay.in. They will cost upto Rs. 300 for a pair and have great illumination for smaller range. You can do this as a DIY and even get this done locally by a mechanic. Be sure not to tap the existing wiring and ask the mechanic to make a seperate connection from battery (with a proper fuse) with a seperate switch near the dashboard to avoid warranty problems.
I doubt whether branded DRLs are available in the continous lighting type you are looking at. So chinese is the way to go I feel.

My car DRL's cost =1800/- Working well since 3 years.

Want to build a switchback led drl for my car
As the title specifies, I want to build a switchback led daytime running light for my alto k10 aka the pocket rocket. I have seen tutorials of people building something like this using a transparent tube, filling it up with some kind of a suitable liquid and the fixing two LEDs at both ends. That is good but
First, it doesn't have switchback feature(won't act as a turn indicator like the audi's have)
Second isn't bright enough to be used as a drl
And third, the intensity drops as you go away from the led..
So I have a pretty good idea on how to do it but I am facing some problems
1 I don't know how to get that continuous lighting effect (maybe a light dispersion medium would work)
2 I don't know the circuit diagram for a switchback led drl
And third I don't know how to keep it bright(I think an led strip should work)
And please put up links for any required materials. Thanks
