Varun,

Great to learn about this new product, but I have my doubts on the springs function getting obstructed as every spring is designated with a tension according to the design dynamics of vehicle as per its weight and other factors, so I feel it is better to check with a technician of the manufacturer before you go ahead with them where they may influence whole behavior of the driving dynamics of the vehicle

Here as you said the movement of the coil is obstructed, this is the main purpose so that the car wont bottom out when fully loaded.
There would be no issues / damages to the coil. I have seen this installed on almost 1000 cars on the other forums. As per all the reviews posted I could say there are no negative effects so far. So let me experience myself an post the review.

This is easily removable so I have no issues. Chevy has given 2 years warranty why no use it. I guess you got what I meant [lol]

It has been almost 5000 + Kms after I got this. The ride feels better when 5+ people and board and it doesn't bottom out even on full load. The only issue is when there is only one or two people on board the rear feels bumpy.

I am seriously thinking of fixing these for my City. Should cost less than 5000 rs and it can always be removed if found too bumpy. I am thinking of going in for the 2" ones, all four, from Auto Runner.

Hello all,
Does any one know the gap in rear coil spring for a Honda City V AT 2010 ? Or simply what is the size required for Honda City ?

thanks in advance
I have used 1.5" Coil spring adjuster for all the four sides for my 2010 Honda City. For the rear it is the correct size, but for the front I feel 2" would be right.

Varun I put the spacers for Figo for the reason it bottom out badly. The ride was stiffer and patchy roads would throw shock inside cabin....then finally removed it.

spacers give bumpy ride if car is driven without extra load, for normal driving no spacers are required, shockers also wear out prematurely due to extra push on springs. Spacers are required if you have CNG cylinder fitted in the car.

Ride quality improved by leaps and bounds. It reminded me of petrol corolla.
For pics you can click on the bellow quoted posts.
Lately, I was not very happy with the suspension of the car due to increased depth & number of the potholes on the roads. Also while crossing the unscientific sized speed breakers I had to slow down to snail's pace whenever the car was loaded.
Looking at the recent trend of mini SUV s with high GC, I wished I get some improvement in the GC of my car as most of my running is on the state highway and roads described above.

I installed 'Urathane cushions' on the springs of my Manza
Results :
1)GC improved by almost 25mm, effect is felt especially on the bumps, I need not slow down too much while crossing 'em.

2)Body roll ]nullified especially in Ghat sections at good speeds.

Cost :Rs 10, 000.
Time required for installation :1hr approx.
Posting few pics of the Urathane cushion /spacers.

Quoting my own post from other thread related to this topic. Any further comments / queries / objections are most welcome [:)]

I wouldn't recommend a coil spring adjusters (atleast for entry level car)

Adding these spacers not only affect the performance / life of the spring, also they do put more load to the body structure (input force to body will get increased) Cars now-a-days are made to cost and we aren't sure about the factor of safety of each and every part / system. Body structure damage is irreversible (to OE spec)

What ever I put above is considering the worst case and a word of caution. Please be informed about the impact (again worst case) before trying out something.

PS: OEMs do respect customer's voice and if the solution discussed here is optimal / favorable, coil spring adjusters should have become a OE fitment / accessory. When that is not the case, understand something is wrong with this solution.
