Citroen India today announced the launch of the new Aircross at a starting price of Rs 8.49 lakh (ex-showroom). The SUV is now open for bookings with its deliveries set to start from October 8.
The Citroen Aircross now has two petrol engine options -- 1.2-litre Gen-3 Puretech 110 turbo and 1.2-litre Puretech 82 naturally aspirated (new addition). The turbo unit develops 110bhp and 190Nm, while the naturally aspirated unit makes 82bhp and 110Nm. The transmission options include 6-speed MT and 6-speed AT with the turbo unit and 5-speed MT with the naturally aspirated unit.
The new Aircross has come with several improvements to enhance its safety, comfort, and overall driving experience. Fresh features include six airbags and Isofix child seat anchors for better safety. Overall, there are more than 40 safety features, including an electronic stability program, tyre pressure monitoring system, and hill-hold assist.
The SUV now comes equipped with LED projector headlamps and automatic air conditioning with climate control. Enhanced interior features include power window switches on the doors, grab handles on the passenger side, power-folding ORVMs, and a rear AC vent.
The Citroen Aircross is available in 5 and 5+2 seating options. With the third row of seats removed, the boot has a capacity of 511 litres.
So far as variants are concerned, there are three -- You, Plus and Max. Below are the variant-wise new Citroen Aircross prices (ex-showroom).
For the 5+2 seater versions, buyers will have to pay an additional amount of Rs 35,000.
