Bridgestone and Michelin are top 2 tyre manufacturers world-wide.

Bridgestone (Bridgestone Tyres India - Tyres, Car Tyres, Radial Tyres, Tubeless Tyres, Automobile Tyres, Tyre Manufacturer Company India) - So many OE tyres comes with BS basic tyres. Normally bit hard, have bit longer life but noisy, bad ride comes with it. Cost is pretty good.

Michelin (Michelin India - Michelin Tyres, Car Tyres, SUV Tyres, Light Truck Tyres, Motorcycle Tyres) - Bit pricey, but worth. Even basic tyres XM1+ also are silent and comfortable. Bit soft tyres so life might be little less on bad roads.

Good comparison picture RSM but i think many of these brands are difficult to source in the market and the most preferred brands are missing here.

Yes, so go for the best which are available.
I would say, the choice should limit to Continental CPC2 and Michelin Primary LC.

re: Car Tyre Brands and Reviews.

I urgently need to replace the tyres on my sisters Wagon R LXi. Was thinking of going to the VXi size 155/65/R13. What are the VFM options available and latest prices. The car is used mainly in the city.
I'm getting Apollo Accelere in this size for Rs.2650/- per tyre with free fitting, nitrogen filling, balancing and wheel alignment.

re: Car Tyre Brands and Reviews.

I changed 42000 km run MRF stock tyres of my wagonr bs3 ,.
Since last 20 k km , they use to skid on moderate braking, once I had to replace front bumper due to the skid induced collision.
Ride quality was so much deteriorated, that my father was cursing suzuki for making such aan unstable car.

New brand is 'XM2 mischelin' asymetric ,3050 rs/tire

My father felt improvement in ride quality immediately, he said now it is comparable to indigo ls[clap]

re: Car Tyre Brands and Reviews.

Well in my experiences Bridgestone proved its reliabilty and lasted in our Versa till 45k kms for a period of 4 years and the tyre saw only 3 punctures till it was with us.It was used extensively and saw many bad roads.(the tyre rotation wasn't done in our ownership)

Our Eeco had Apollo tyres where it showed the balding sign when the odo was at 5000kms.Though it was used in the city.

Currently Alto has JK tyres, it has made a sounding backup and completed 15k kms, the tyres still looks afresh.

5000 km??? you sure ,i had complained in the Vento thread about Apollo tires(175width) wearing out very early, there was another Polo in the showroom with the same complaint.

As for Bridgestones they are decent tires, am impressed with Continental as i know a particular Esteem with 175 section tires & its doing really well considering most tires would loose grip/bald on the same car thanks to its driver.

But then i feel its totally wrong to say pros & cons based on the manufacturer.Michelin has got good value in India & seems like the obvious choice although little expensive but i feel every customer should take his time & check online/forums for other members who have used different tires on there cars to determine what they want, especially since you will be using them for atleast 30-40,000 km & can be a major factor in you car.Entirely choosing tires based on brand(among the premium ones) is not the best idea.

Yes i am! the threads started becoming thin and Eeco faced 1st punture when it had done 2k on the odo[cry], i don't drive recklessly nor played with it.

Even the past experiences counts.
