Calcutta to pondicherry

Hi ,

Planning to buy a car from calcutta
lancer 2000 model

Its for my friend , hmmm we can say it mine too

Almost finalized everything .

gonna to calcutta by Friday by train and then buy the car and then drive it all trough the road

Only i will drive the car as my friend do not know to drive the car.

Almost like the 'paiya' film (instead of the girl here is my best buddy)



Any places in between that is a must to be visited like ?
I have no idea about them.


Also how are the road conditions , i think there is a full stretch of NH

OMG. MapMyIndia says its 1865 km from Kolkata to Pondy.
I have no idea about the places in between. Best of luck for the drive.
BTW, you didnt mention the price of the car.

Map my india is almost accurate , will be using that in the trip.

so if kolkatta to chennai is NH , so is chennai to pondicherry - 4 lane. so i think it will not be big problem


The trip is almost confirmed , seller says it will take about a month time to get NOC from rto , so it depends , if car is not needed for noc , we'll pick the car this week end.

This one will be sure a memorable drive!!

Yeah i am really excited about the trip ,
And vibhor , that is the route which we have planned , also had a plan to come through villages but my friend works in IT field , hehe no leave granted for him! so villge/state road plan will not work out.

This one got FFE - Also stock one given ,
Got pedder suspension.
almost new 15 inch alloys and micheline tyres

And body and paint job has been done recently. with sfxi skirtings.



Above all i get a calcutta to pondicherry drive hehe


And this time i am going without any facial hair except eye brows , so not a don , back to coll days! hehehe

Wow i too want to do some trip like this soon! Enjoy the trip bro! I think you have the Golden Quadrilateral starting from Kolkata till Chennai. After that you can choose between ECR and GST for reaching Pondicherry. All roads are in good condition , so no problem. But make sure the spare tyre is in good condition! And which places have you decided to halt?


BTW in that film he will drive from Bangalore to Mumbai only with that girl! You are doing an even longer trip!
