Congratulations!
How much did it cost you?
Bought it for Rs.25K with free camera case and 8 GB SD Card. It was available for Rs.24K at SnapDeal but shortly ran out of stock (Now at Rs.27.5K on SnapDeal).

@350Z : Congrats on your buy. Now get a "Nikkor AF-D 1.8 Prime Lens" quickly. Its generally available for around 5-6K. Though the kit Nikor is good, a DSLR comes to its own, once you put a prime lens. You'd start loving your pics, specially in low light. You can check out the review of this lens at
Nikon 50mm f/1.8 D Review

Please remember, the Camera starts staying at home for soooo many DSLR owners after the initial few months. To avoid it, buy a good Lowepro Camera Bag (for Camera with Zoom Lens + One Additional Lens). Then get a set of ND2, ND4 & ND4 filters, a CPL Filter, spare battery and a tripod. You are good to go places. Happy clicking [clap]

Great to have you in this thread, Vijay. Your guide on Mirrorless vs DSLR has been of immense help to me. Thanks and kudos for the same.

I'll add more accessories once I get past the learning curve (Still in phase of understanding the basic technical stuff. Read full manual the day it arrived).

The best part is that I have to look nowhere else. There's a pool of sheer knowledge on our forum itself:

The free Nikon bag is bulky and looks cheap. I've swapped it with my Sony handycam bag which has a far better quality and is more compact.

Congrates Sir. Do post your initial ownership review. What pros & cons you find with your camera as compared to your dream list with the camera
Thanks for all your support too. I will update after using it for some time.

Placed an order on Flipkart for D5100 yesterday and received it in less than 24 hours in a well-packaged box. Time to bring out the photographer in me.

Been a few months since I bought this camera and I'm absolutely in love with it. I don't use it too often but the results are no less than stunning.

BTW sis ended up buying the same from Amazon.in for a thousand bucks or so cheaper. Following pictures are from our Datsun Go+ Review photoshoot.
