Budget ICE For New Swift. Need Clarification On Warranty Issues

Hi everyone. Greetings
My new Swift will arrive next week... (can't help smiling)

I don't have much experience when it comes to music of the car amongst a lot of other things.Please suggest me a nice ICE.
Ill give the details:

> Your Car: Swift vxi

> Budget Range: 15k to 18k

> Looking For (Full Setup, Head Unit etc.): Full setup(max possible in budget)

> Preferred Brands (If any): any brand which gives ok-ok warranty

> Preferred Music Genre: slow soulful tracks most of the time. Sometimes dance tracks too. Mostly Hindi.

> Existing Audio Setup: New car so none.

> Misc. Details / Specific Questions: Priority to get a good looking ICE . Thus preferring on a double-din HU. Should look good with all-black interiors. Speakers should be (Jack of all trades ) decent so that every genre gives satisfactory response.

Also I have a confusion. While speaking to my sales assistant, I was informed that any music system other than that of MGA will result in termination of warranty on my darling's engine and electrical unit. Please clarify on this. Because from MGA i am left with expensive yet limited options.

And this for speakers.I would suggest JBL comps in the front and coaxial for back doors/6*9" for the rear parcel tray

Snapdeal has a discount of 10% going on. I am also planning to get a headunit from them as it costs me rs3100 as opposed to market price of rs3900

Which back speakers are preferable for front seat passengers(there will rarely be back seat passengers)? door-fitted of rear parcel tray fitted?

Also as I will be usually driving alone, Please suggest a good arrangement of front and back speakers.
And, are amplifiers necessary or a decent speaker will do the job?

Acc to me get door fitted coaxials for back and a good set of components for front This will be sufficient if u are driving alone.
Requirement of amplifiers will depend on the combination of headunit & speakers

You could get a new steering wheel from a higher model swift if they have steering mounted controls.Just make sure your headunit has this feature.

yes jvc has one check on their site should cost less than rs1500


Many local ones also available for as low as 600

Respected Owners/Experts,

Can anyone able to provide an Idea how much it going to cost of MGA :-

1.Double Din HU without any display - Don't need even CD/MP3 disc Playing capability...

But must be one or two 3.5" inch Aux In and USB Stick Playback + FM Radio.

2. At least Two-way or Three Way 6" Inch four door speaker which can be properly drivable from HU alone or else 4" inch Speaker with Two-Way/Three -Way Config for four doors from reputed brand.

Integrated audio, that fits in the dash board audio location(dual din) for the Ertiga is 15990.This is the one that comes factory fitted with the top end model.

Dual dins are from 8990-20990 Kenwood,Sony and JVC.I am not sure if the speakers are included or not.

All Top-End version comes from Nipoon....Right ?

Can anybody confirm Door like Ritz can take 6" speaker without any mod or cut @ the provided space ?

I heard JVC Speaker not so good and dies after 1 or 2 year of usage....Is it true ?

Not sure of the Ritz, ask our member Gurrala74.He owns a Ritz.

Maruti OEM is Nippon and some other brands too.I am not sure, but it is integrated into the dash.

I am not sure how long they will last, if you ask me this question after 2 years I will be able to comment on the reliability.

I suggest get your car first.

Fit front speakers only in doors and I think only 4" come there. Just fit the speaker size according to the space given in door.

Fit rear speakers on parcel tray for best of the sound.

I have fitted JVC system with 2 front speakers sony, 2 coaxials on rear parcel tray(JVC) which are producing excellent sound and they are 2 years old and no issues, so that information about JVC is wrong which die down within 2 years

Almost 8k ( the one that comes in top model)

also a combo deal is going on in ritz
alpine HU+seat covers art leather+2 mga speakers=rs 10250

alpine unit in the deal is Same as zxi but the unit doesnt have cd slot instead has bluetooth.Cd/usb/aux/bluetooth is just what is required.
But they arent willing to give the HU separately.

BTW i also havnt decided any ICE for my ritz and hence am in the same boat .

The speaker you people are talking are not worth spending money. Instead go for good brand while talking about speakers and that too components. They'll definitely sound good.

Hi every one. My Swift VXI will be deliverred next week. i found almost same price for Music system in Maruti show room & out side( checked in Reliance Autozone & some Locals). I ve finalised Head unit -Pioneer FHx 759BT.SPEAKERS-JBL GT6-S266(front). & JBL GT6-S699 on rear parcel tray. please suggest me if any thing good combination within 19k.
