Thanks shailinder....I too feel that i am keeping the ride deprived of clicking pics. i am just too lazy :stupid:

But i will make sure that this weekend i will give it a compelete portfolio and post it here.
Aamir,

You never know, as your pictures (car's) might encourage others to take a plunge and book a Polo. By the way, what is the average you are getting from a liter of petrol in Delhi ? And at what time generally you drive, traffic conditions ? What all discussions you had before booking the car from the VW dealer and how was their response on discounts ? Do you feel that if you could have pushed them a little more. You might have ended up getting more discounts / freebies from them ?

See, I have so many questions and others would also ask. But for that you should be in love with your ride first and ready to share your experience. [:)]

Yeah that's true shailinder.
my overall buying experience was good at bhasin motors but I guess there is always scope of few more thousands getting discounted. As a matter of fact I am satisfied with the amount of discounts I got. In fact I let go one tempting offer to get HL alloys for 28k. As you can see that the ex-wife showroom price was 557500 and OTR I got it for 570000 so not a bad deal I guess. [;)]
As my office is in sector 142 on Noida expressway in the morning it's no problem at all. But in the evening it's usual Delhi traffic B2B.

am quite okay with the FE as of yet, the MID shows 15 and on tank full to tank full method I got in between 14-15.

Since I am using philips I would suggest about them only. I bought them from palika bhawan opposite to Hyatt hotel ring road for approximately 950 - 1000 rupees.

You can try them if you want.

Congrats Aamir on your Polo. It's looking gorgeous in black. Seems you've got a brilliant deal on the car too. [clap] How is the car performing and how much have you driven it till now? I would advise you on getting the Osram Nightbreakers as I have read many good reviews about it. Have been planning to upgrade mine too but haven't really felt the need to till now as I hardly ever drive out on the highways at night. For city usage, stock ones are just about decent enough.

Thanks GM88. I am just loving evry bit of second i drive it. Its really hard to resist it to 80kmph, just praying that it compeletes 1500kms soon and the running period will be over.
I have driven it 700kms so far and getting FE of 14-15kmpl with mixed city and expressway traffic.

Actually i will be going home soon (first week of Aug) and thats 350kms from Delhi, my first long drive of POLO, I am planning to start at 4am so that i can reach home by 10am, it is only because of this i am upgrading the headlamps. BTW i already ordered Philips.

Polo updates:

I have driven it 900kms now.

No problems what so ever, moreover i feel the FE has drastically increased in my second tank full.

First tank full at 29km on odo, total fuel = 40l.
Next tank full at 555km on odo, total fuel =38l
Current odo reading is 900km and fuel guage still shows half full.[clap] touch wood.
Today when i stopped at office parking the MID showed FE of 17.3km/l

Will try to install Philips Xtreme Vision this sunday.

One query: I will be going to my home town in first week of august, till that time the odo reading will be well over 1000km, so can i increase my speed on highway run to say a subtle 120kmph[:)]. Till when should i drive in the run-in period as i have been very cautious in driving her till now.

Those are decent FE figures Aamir. About the run-in period, as such there is no mention of it on the manuals as VW cars with come pre-running from the factory itself. Its just a preventive measure which people tend to follow in order to not stress the engine in its early days. I would say to refrain going above 100kmph as of now even on the highways till about your odo reads 1500kms. Not a hard and fast rule but just as a preventive measure.

Thanks for wise words GM88, u seem to be having bunch of highway runs yourself so will take your advice and follow it till 1500kms. Its hard to resist but will follow it.
