@ RSM, Thanks now i know how to handle the sitution.

@ Akash / 350Z, the reason they gave is, Fiat manufactured cars and keep them in their stock yard so that they can ship as and when required. They got this lot in the month of Dec only and it is just a coincident that it was manufactured on Oct end / Nov start somewhere [:)]. How innocent...

Did you check for that "H" symbol as mentioned by RSM in some previous post? IMO if the car looks in showroom condition, ie no signs of wear and tear or any other suspicious bit around, the deal you have been offered is a good one. However if you are concerned about the resale value, then definitely you should go for a fresh 2011 model.

No Akash I've not seen the car as of now. I am planning it latest by coming Saturday. Let us hope that it is in mint condition and all my doubts are wrong.[cheers]

Well friends I went to see the car and found to be a TD vehicle. I tried to take photos but SA denied.

There was black substance inside silencer rod; no “H” mark on Speedo and still it was showing 109KMs, tyre thread was not looking new. I mean they were ok but not new for sure. (I hope you are getting me here.).

When I asked about this they said, they have to bring this car many a times from stockyard to showroom. That is the reason these things are there. Huh !!

So the end result is NO DISCOUNTED PUNTO…SHHHH. [frustration]

Anyways, thank you very much friends for giving me ideas to identify. [thumbsup]

So it was a TD car. So will you be going in for a new Punto or some other car?

Yes Akash. My quest is not over yet. See I am mentally conveinced that I need a diesel car and that too a hatch. I am also more or less conveinced on the cars i am going to choose from. Just that I am interested in getting discounts.

Let us see who offers first.

Will keep you guys disturbed about my stupid questions as and when they will hit my mind.

Why not a Vista QJD , its a damn good car to be checked out once atleast, with refreshed interior the car is no short off premium feel IMHO

AMG buddy, I will let you know about my purchase. I have been postponing the decision just because I am not getting good geals but once I will get I will close the same immediately.

go for FIGO as its great AFM. Mine has already started giving 14 KPL within the city.

and you get lot much if you compare other cars, no doubt its your decision which matters the most.

Are you talking about Petrol or Diesel ? Because 14KMPL is too low for my requirement as I am looking for a Diesel car. My current Zen Estilo is giving 15-16+ KMPL in winters and 14-15KMPL in summers. (70% City and 30% highways).
