Yes these pics are of Ganesh Chaturthi season,i have mentioned it.
Ganapati Bappa was more than comfortable,it was just like long wish come true for me,cause during Agman and visarjanTrucks is hired,none of our previous 2 cars were lucky to have carried Ganpathi Bappa for visarjan in last 25 years,but this time LUV got lucky.

Got scratched and Dented.

Today while i was going toward bandra,an Ambulance(Maruti Omni) hit me on the rear Left fenders wheel arch,where a little portion got dented.Though it could not be spotted easily
The Ambulance was in No hurry(No lights no Siren),was carring some sort of wires,driven by a teenager 23/24.

I was on the Circle taking at extreme right connecting towards main traffic flow,and this guy was on second lane of main highway.
What i heard was that he was shouting before i can take a turn,i heard that very little(Windows up),connected to main lane,went few meters ahead,and since the in front Rikshaw braked ,i too braked early,then again he shouted and bumped.
came beside me,arrogantly told me,"from when i am shouting,why don't you stop,asked him to pull over,Guy nodded and i pulled over,but that guys Ran Off,disgusting!,worried i got down checked ,there was hardly any scratch,but dent was visible,but not much.He had visible big scratch on the right door of Omni.
Ambulance was a donated one,poorly maintained,driving like a reckless,it may did not have good brakes.He had 30 meters and more to brake but he didn't braked,his Car speed would not be more than 40 kmph ,plus additional space and a vacant left 2 lanes,what was the need i don't know.
I could have followed him and could given him a peace of mind,but i had a lady with me.

I know that,it is heart breaking.
I don't know why didn't he honked,instead of gettting outof window and shouting,he should of honked..idiots,literally,while returning another idiot was changing his tire on 1st lane,of eastern express way,no warning signs.

Wedding Car!!
It was my Bro's Wedding yesterday where my Luv was decorated,some of pics of it.

While decorating with flowers, just remember one thing that you don't use Normal adhesive tape,use masking tape only.
The tape was easily removed,and no marks left.

Thanks for the complement buddy,actually i just love this pics,and keep watching them again and again.
I have a steering related issue.
Today while making a U turn,which required a couple of turns,full left to right,suddenly the steering got heavy and it was present till i made it.It was well paved road with less friction with Tyre.
This is happening with me 5/6 th time,and can be easily sensed.It feels like pulling a tata sumo without Power steering.
Has any petrol guys or ertigian observed it.

Oil has reached its low mark now,will be probably topping up by coming Saturday service is due by May.A trip of 1500 kms is up coming. Should i change the whole oil with filter or top it up plainly.What do you suggest?

Yesterday took My LUV to MASS to address above issues,preparations for my native trip of 1500kms....
2nd Row AC Rattle
They did some adjustment,noise went away temporary and after few kms it was back!!..

Steering Getting Heavy:
They connected ECU reader,did something,found out that connector had some loose connection.Did some work regarding that.
My dad literally lost his mind,blasted the SA for this.How risky it was,if it would have happened on Ghats and turns.

Oil Low
In the morning before first start i checked the oil level of the car,it had touched the bottom(low) mark of the Stick.I asked SA to top up,but SA was reluctant to do that.Finally when i forced them to call their mechanic,they came,told me that oil is ok.

SA:To check the correct level oil,one should allow engine to cool.
ME:OK
SA:And if the oil gets low,Engine OIL low symbol glow on dashboard,you don't need to worry.
I was like ,god knows what he is talking means i should wait for that light,when ever that light comes,i should call the MASS,and tell come fill the oil or wait for the engine to seize.

I had such problem in past,thats why i was extra worried,was out of the center after 3 hours ,went to an automotive shop at sarvodaya nagar mulund,bought 1 liter Engine oil of Mobil 1,5w30 for petrol engine,for 1k.

Went home allowed engine to cool,Checked the dip stick,and slowly poured engine oil with the help of funnel,intermittently checking Oil level,It gulped down 900 ml of Oil.Took her for the ride in night,engine was feeling more refined now.

What is the odo meter reading while you top up the oil?
is it the same brand MASS using?

Did you done the Oil changing at MASS? I mean your 3rd service(10K km service) Did you checked oil level then or when you bought the vehicle?

Anyway please check the oil level after your trip too. So that we can understand the level of oil draining if there.

Odo reading :5800kms Approx
Oil:5w30 Mobil 1 full synthetic oil,used by MASS,same brand same config.

My ertiga has done 2nd service,3rd service would be on May end.
Oil level checked when i bought vehicle was showing 3/4th mark,i asked them they said oil level is ok.
Checked last week of Jan and saturday,oil was 1/4th level.
Checked oil sump and filter for leakages found none,so lets see.
Will check after trip.

Made a Native trip.
Mumbai-Panvel-chiplun-kankavli via NH-17 460kms one way approximately.
Total Trip-1310kms.
Total Load-6 adult,2 children,luggage on top of Carrier.
FE:14.5 MID.
Fuel Consumed:91 liters
FE:1310/91=14.39
AC:All time
Speed:80 kmph Cruising speed,Max:100 kmph
Driven by:40% by me and 60% by Dad.

Impression:
Good Overtaking Ability:
Engine has immense power,overtaking is a breeze,switch to any gear low gear and you will feel the punch.Sweet spot is in and around 3000rpm.

Tackling Ghats:
Tackling Ghats can be done with ease,has good punch for the ghats.

Stability and Cornering:
Car is stable through out the road,Cornering was needed to be calculated,due to Body roll,that was because of Luggage Carrier above.Rest was good.

Mile Muncher:
It is a mile muncher it does not tires the driver in long driver nor the passenger.They were happy with the comfort.

Light Offroading:
Offroading need to be calculated and pre-planned,and must be done extremely carefully.sometimes passengers need to be offloaded sometimes.
Steep incline need to be calculated and steep incline on raw road must be best avoided.
Once i climbed the steep raw road,but it went half road,and started rolling back i avoided that climb.

Underbody Hits:

Speed breakers:Got an hit by speed breaker ,underbody running board.
Offroading: Need to be done very very carefully,Actually was Front bull guard support was taking the hits.

Thinking of Sump Guard soon.

Congratulation on you purchaseDo keep updated about your car and do post an ownership report.

About decision it was the right thing,i am proudly satisfied with the decision.

Average currently is about 13kmpl and Odometer is 7600kms.

Of course i am a happy and proud owner of LUV.

Hi Mr. Patkar - you talked about 'low' luggage space in Ertiga.
did you mean space is low when last row seats are occupied by passangers ?
or there is no luggage space left in such case ? I have seen interior's of Ertiga, but still not able to conclude if luggage space will be sufficient if last row seats are brought down.

since you use Ertiga for some time now, you will have better idea. please share your experience about luggage space
