As usual I have checked all the basic needs previous night like food, Veh. Papers, Tourch, puncture kit, Imp. Contact numbers including Fiat 24*7 road assistance
numbers, etc.
Nextday started at 4:30 AM as planned. Great to drive through Bangalore roads without traffic at that time. I flied to Devanahali in less than 30 minutes and crossed
airport in no time. After that just stoppped for 2 minutes to clean front glass of my Punto and mirrors. After Devanahali, it's a straight road to hyderabad.
Signboards are well visible even in night too and well directed. There are few toll gates which is in between BANGALORE to HYD you will see. The rates will increase
from 50 odd rupees to 100 odd rupees as you approach towards HYD. It's better to have change about 1000 rupees (max.) for tollgates in oneway. Petrol bunks will appear
in almost in a gap of 50 KMs stretch. Always better to have your tank filled upto neck. Roads are quite decent and many restaurents and small stalls are available on
road sides but be careful while you come down from NH, as most vehicles are driving almost over 100KMPH and they are unable to control their speed according to your
movement. I marked this issue quite often. While going i touched maximum speed of 120KMPH as was unaware of the condition. Hence it took around 8 hrs to reach HYD NORR
from Bangalore Murgeshpalya with 1 hr break for BF and small halts. All the way from Bangalore to HYD is four(2|2) lane so no need to worry about traffic. Driving
through NORR was delightful as it is a 12(6|6) lane roads. I had to stay in Gachibowli which is the straight road from NORR and took hardly 15 minutes to reach though
NORR.
The return journey was even better. I started around 4 PM hence wanted to reach Bangalore before 0:00 hrs. This time I knew the road conditions and was driving at
130-140 KMPH. My punto was as ususal very steady as ever. While returning I was maintaining very decent speed but suddenly one Swift and Scorpio with KA registration
passed me as if I was driving with 40 KMPH. My wife just saw me and laughed. I realized that in these roads there will be no harm if i could touch 150 KMPH that to
having a vehicle like Punto which is so stable even at that speed. I tested her while went to Kodaikanal. Then I just drove about 400 KMs with a speed of AVG. 130
KMPH. That's the reason I crossed that Scorpio but could not the Swift which was i think had more emergency by the way it was going. While travelling from Bangalore
there was not much speed breakers on the way, however while returning from HYD you have to be careful about these speed breakers. There are I think 10 big speed
breakers which are very capable of hurting your car. I reached Devanahali at 10 PM but the great traffic issues of Bangalore made me late by 1 hr.
It was a incredible road trip especially after a long time. I enjoyed every bit of it and loved my punto even more after the trip.
Now, let the pics talk rest of it
