You people sure had a blast. Congrats for organizing a fantastic event. Those are some wonderful photographs and it seems that Jeep was the centre of attraction for all. Must say, it’s a looker indeed. I’m finally glad to see a Bangalore meet taking place successfully. Please keep more pictures and write-ups coming. Hope more such TAI meets in Bangalore become a norm from now on. [thumbswink]

After this trip my car is running more smoother. I guess all this happened over by running in potholes, water, curvy surfaces .. [lol]
Our car's were tired of running only in B2B traffic, this time it tasted a new variety..

Vinay How about your car !!!

Summary of the trip and travelogue
So started our journeys from our respected homes early morning or maybe not very early morning and gathered at the Panchmukhi Ganesha Temple as per the plan. As expected mostly all of the confirmed members made it for the adventure trip except one person 'coz of an emergency. So we all gathered at the temple, introduced ourselves in brief, took some great pictures and moved on for our target destination. The convoy was of 8 cars which included 3 x Maruti 800's, One Alto, One Ford Figo, One Scorpio and the show stealer Mahindra M550 Jeep.

The team was high and excited for the adventure and slowly opening up after the intro session. So the convoy moved towards the next stop "The BIG Banyan Tree" which is at Ramohalli village about 30Kms drive from Bangalore central zone.

.. continued from above

All the cars zoomed through the busy Mysore road and turned towards Ramohalli.

The road condition was good but as it was raining it was a little slippery surface but we were all so excited that all the cars were zooming at slow to high to F1 speeds :) Our superhero Vinay was driving like he was on the F1 track (guess he thought there will be some pit stop girls waiting for him .. but he got fooled.. ). But folks it was an amazing moment and all of us were in high spirits.

So after about 20mins drive, we reached at the Banyan tree, parked our cars, took our cameras out and went inside the premises. This was the time to take some group pictures and all of us after a short stroll, gathered at a spot for the picture shoot. So we took some good pictures of the good people :) and enjoyed the drizzling rain. It was very good weather to enjoy such meets.

After taking the group pictures we went outside to have some tea/coffee as the hard drinks were prohibited :) See we were all responsible drivers "No Drinks while Driving". Anyway, so we ordered the coffee/tea and picked some snacks + soft drinks for our onward journey.

DSC_8551.JPG

Our dear friend "Vinay" showed us a new way of opening a "Sprite bottle" .... See the picture below and keep guessing how did he do that?? Well done Vinay :)) Try it at home at your own risk and if you need guidance, ask Vinay Lol (just kiddin').

Anyway so we took some snacks and then moved on for our final destination of the day "The Manchanebele Dam". As usual on the way we took some pictures while driving and took about 2 stops for the photo shoot. The convoy was not very big and not very small so we all could catch up with each other and stayed as a group all through the drive. I being considered as the guide/lead for the trip led the convoy to the destination. The road to the dam was amazing for all of us (I guess). It was not a tough track but was definitely a heart-stopper for some of the friends. Enjoy the pictures of the track.

So after about 30mins of the drive, we reached one of the spots where we thought will be a good place for taking some more pictures. We stopped our vehicles, made a straight line and did a photo shoot. Again we changed the setting for the photo shoot and took some more pictures and then again .... it was a great opportunity for all to showcase our photography skills and driving skills. I guess the team enjoyed every second of the event while driving, while photographing and meeting and socializing with fellow members.

My fellow friends even did a heroic act of taking a Maruti 800 in the dam water and showing that 800 is the new off-roading champion :) while the Scorpio just kept on staring from a distance :(( Guess the sales agent told him that his car can swim through the water which I think he took seriously and went into the reservoir and that's when he realized that it doesn't !! so immediately came back to the ground.. again just kidding guys :)) Excuse me for my sense of humor.

Anyway, check some of the pics and videos posted on this thread to believe me.

After the photo-shoot we moved on to another spot so that we can play Cricket and take some more pictures with another view. Also, as we bought some refreshments on the way this was a good time for us to enjoy and savor the same. So we quickly enjoyed the moments with the refreshments and proceeded for a great game of Cricket. Here are some pictures .. enjoy

So we reached to the spot, took the cricket kit out and were all set for the match. Amit and Samarth were the captains and we formed up two teams. Samarth won the toss and opted to bat first. The bowling team started bowling some good balls but sadly were hit 6 runs in the first over. In the next over we could only bowl 3 balls as it started raining again and we had to call-off the match. Final Score was 8runs, 1 wicket down - Match declared canceled 'coz of the rains. :((

The team then decided to move to the next destination and this was the last stop/lap of the event which is where we all can have our Lunch :) On the way to the restaurant it was raining and the roads were totally wet but our friend Vinay was zooooooming like he was again on an F1 track and guess this time he believed his sales agent who told him that the car flies .. which he was trying to do but maybe realised he was fooled :) Never mind Vinay, check with the sales agent on for the fine print of the statements made during the sale :) I'm kidding again..

Anyways, so finally we reached at the restaurant which was picked up by one of our fellow TAI member where we had some good food and relaxed. So we had our lunch and chit-chatted for a while. Now it was that hard time to say good bye to all after a wonderful time spent with each other. Everyone exchanged numbers, mail id's etc and said good bye to all.

Hope you've enjoyed the pictures posted by fellow members and had a great view of the meet.

For those who did not join us this time "Keep envy'ing us :))" and make sure to attend the next one ...
