Bajaj to launch 125 cc Pulsar in India soon

The design of the Pulsar 125 is expected to be pretty much the same as the Pulsar 150. As for the engine and other technical details, there is no official information on the same by the company yet. It could come with a setup that is similar to what the NS 125 offers. Speaking of which, the NS 125 is powered by a 125 cc air-cooled single-cylinder engine with a four-valve head and it is mated to a five-speed gearbox. This engine churns out 13 Bhp of power at 9000 rpm along with 11.4 Nm of torque at 7,500rpm.

BS6 Bajaj Avenger 160, 220 Launched In India, Priced From Rs 89,500

Bajaj Avenger is the most affordable cruiser bike currently on sale in India, and the homegrown manufacturer offers three bikes under the said range, namely Street 160, Cruise 220 and Street 220. Bajaj has now upgraded the bike to comply with the latest emission norms, which has resulted in a price hike in the range of Rs 7,000 to Rs 10,000 across the three bikes.

The Street 160 is the entry-level Avenger bike and comes with a 160 cc single-cylinder engine that generates 15 PS of maximum power at 8,500 rpm, along with 13.5 Nm peak torque at 6,500 rpm. In the transition from BS4 compliance to BS6 compliance, Street 160 has incurred a price hike of about Rs 7,000, and the BS6 version of the motorcycle is now priced at Rs 89,536 (ex-showroom, Delhi)

Bajaj To Supply Electric Scooter Under Rs. 35,000 In India – Report

Bajaj Auto is developing a single-seater, low-power electric scooter for the electric mobility service startup called Yulu. In November last year, Bajaj had bought stakes worth $8 million in the bike-sharing startup, which is also the first time Bajaj has invested in any startup.

Now, Bajaj wants to launch an electric scooter for Yulu in the price range of Rs 30,000 – 35,000 by next year. “We are spending about $600 per bike. We are getting them manufactured in China and assemble them in India. With Bajaj Auto coming on board, we can bring down the price to $500 in the medium to long term. From over Rs 40,000, we can bring it down to Rs 30,000-35,000,” said Mr Amit Gupta, co-founder and CEO of Yulu

As of now, Yulu’s scooters are powered by a 48V motor, and can be driven at a maximum speed of 25 kmph, with a range of 60 km on one full charge. Riding a Yulu bike does not require the rider to have a valid driver’s license, and the company charges Rs 10 on hourly basis, to ride the bike.

Bajaj Auto has now introduced 14 BS6 compliant commercial three-wheelers across the RE, Maxima and Maxima Cargo range. This marks Bajaj Auto's full transition to BS6 as well as far as the three-wheeler space is concerned. The Diesel range across RE and Maxima meet the BS6 regulations through systems like EGR & catalytic converter with the same 470 cc Diesel engine.

Bajaj Group commits Rs 100 crore for the fight against COVID-19

Bajaj Group pledged Rs 100 crore to the fight against Covid-19. Working with the Government and Bajaj network of over 200 plus NGO partners, Bajaj ensured these resources reach those who need it the most.

In Pune, Bajaj Group will support upgradation of key healthcare infrastructure required to tackle Covid-19. The aid will support the Government and identified private sector hospitals to upgrade ICUs, procure additional equipment and consumables including ventilators and personal protection equipment, enhance testing, and set up isolation units.

These interventions will support communities in Pune, Pimpri-Chinchwad and rural areas of Pune.

Food and Shelter - Bajaj Group are also working with organisations in multiple geographies to extend immediate support to the most affected - daily wage workers, the homeless and street children. Bajaj will support initiatives on food supply, shelter and access to sanitation and healthcare.
