Toyota GR Corolla hatchback to be showcased at Auto Expo 2023

The upcoming Auto Expo 2023 will be Toyota’s first appearance at the biennial auto show. And while the Innova Hycross and LC 300 will surely garner a lot of interest, enthusiasts might be piqued by the fact that Toyota is also going to showcase a GR (Gazoo Racing) model for the first time in India. Yes, Toyota will be showcasing the GR Corolla hatchback at the Auto Expo 2023.

Kia Sorento 7-seater SUV to be showcased at Auto Expo 2023

Kia will be showcasing the three-row Sorento SUV at the upcoming Auto Expo 2023. Currently in its fourth generation, which was globally unveiled in early 2020, the Sorento is essentially a cousin to the Hyundai Santa Fe. Globally, its positioned between the Kia Sportage (Tucson equivalent) and the flagship Telluride SUV.

Although a launch is not confirmed just yet, Kia will likely be showcasing the model to gauge customer interest in the three-row SUV. This, however, is not the first appearance of the SUV in India, as Kia had previously showcased the third-gen Sorento at the Auto Expo in 2018.

Air EV, MG4 EV to be showstoppers at MG's Auto Expo 2023 stand

The Auto Expo 2023 will be MG Motor’s second appearance at the biennial auto show. In its previous showing, MG’s stand at the Auto Expo was decidedly focused on SUVs with models such as the Gloster, Hector Plus and Astor making their India debut, but this time, the focus will be more on EVs. Two of the most important unveils from MG will be the Air EV and the MG4 EV, along with facelifted versions of the Hector and Hector Plus. Tata Motors, like every year, will have a sprawling pavilion at this year's Auto Expo 2023. As we reported recently, the Tata Punch EV will be one of the key debuts for the brand at the event. BYD Seal to debut at Auto Expo 2023

BYD or Build Your Dreams, the EV-only brand from China, will be showcasing the all-new Seal sedan for the first time in India at the Auto Expo. The BYD Seal is the brand’s answer to the popular Tesla Model 3 in markets like Europe and China, and is a born-electric sedan.

Toyota Land Cruiser 300, GR Corolla to be showcased at Auto Expo 2023

At its first-ever appearance at the Auto Expo, Toyota will have a stage full of show-stoppers. The first will undoubtedly be the recently launched Innova Hycross, of which multiple units will be on display.

Switch Mobility will unveil three new vehicles at the Auto Expo 2023, ranging from IeV series, catering to last mile and mid mile mobility applications and a new range of electric buses in the EiV series.

Switch Mobility will be a part of the integrated stand with Ashok Leyland in Hall No.12, Stall No. N15 at the Auto Expo 2023.

Mumbai's upcoming double decker EV bus to be shown at Auto Expo

India’s first electric double decker bus, made by Ashok Leyland’s Switch Mobility will make its Auto Expo 2023 debut next week. The Electric double decker bus made its first public appearance last year in Mumbai. The bus will first be used by the state transport department in Mumbai sometime this year, with around 200 units expected to join the fleet.

• The Motor Show 2023 was officially inaugurated on 12th January 2023 at the India Expo Mart in Greater Noida by Nitin Gadkari (Union Minister for Road Transport and Highways).
• Second day of the Auto Expo - The Motor Show 2023 witnessed 23 unveil and launches. In total, there were over 82 unveils and launches during the two media days.
• The event showcased SIAM's initiative towards sustainable mobility: Surakshit Safar (Safe Journey), Javik Pahal (Bio-initiative), Vidyutikaran (Vehicle Electrification) and Chakriyata (Recycling & Circular Economy).
