My i10 with 26k kms has steel wheels and both the front 2 rims have somehow developed leaks near sidewall area. Where the tire is seated with the rim there seems to be air leakage and for some days it works okay but all the air escapes many times when parked overnight. I have had to put a tube in one and kept the other as-is as a spare. The puncture guy says tire and rim both should be replaced as he is not sure if the rim has bents or if tire is not sealing properly. There are no visible bends though and the tire also is physically fine. Will just replacing the 2 rims fix this issue as there might be minute bends not visible or perceptible? thing is i heard running tubes in tires is unsafe in summers as high speeds cause a lot of friction in tubeless tires with a tube inserted.
