vRS outsied India are sold with atleast 200BHP Tourbo Charged monsters. But n India it has the same engine of Laura's Petrol siblings. Only cosmetic changes and a slightly stiffer springs. I doubt one can call the present Laura vRS a true Skoda vRS product. It's just Skoda India trying to fool Indians.

I agree but i think Swift, Dzire and Ritz are well priced and competitive products that Maruti have. Swift/Dzire sells like hot cakes which proves they are very competitvely priced and VFM products.

I don't wanna start debate on this but swift and dzire are the most overpriced vehicles when i see the price in respect of other vehicles in the market. And mind it buddy high sale doesn't implies a product to be VFM product. Sorry for being rude but its true.

I meant to say that due to lower price, it will affect some higher priced versions too.
And Superb petrol is for 18.7L on-road with discounts, & diesel will be around 21-23L.
Price octy 3L cheaper & it will be dud, VW Jetta is better.

Laura is only in India, this itself is good to make us fool. Price octy expensive under name of laura & people buy. [anger]

Yup that how Skoda India is trying to fool Indians. Th Laura is actually an Octavia replacement all over the world but in India it was priced 5lakhs more and given a new name.[frustration]

To add insult to injury is the Laura VRs which has almost similar specs to other petrol Lauras and only some minor changes to cosmetics and suspension.

Lets hope Skoda doesn't name the new Octy All New Laura and price it in 15-18lakhs category as D segment in Indian Automobile Industry is on down hill dues to similar features and comforts offered by C segment sedans.

No offense meant but I don't think Dzire and Swift are over priced. Do you expect a car to sell in 18000 and 14000 ranges if it's an overpriced and not VFM. There are classic examples of Ford Fiesta and Renault Scala/Pulse as both were overpriced and didn't sell well. For Maruti's reliability, low priced spares and good looks for Swift and Dzire(Only from certain angles mind you [;)]) both are definitly VFM products. Eact month 18000 new Swift owners and 14000 Dzire owners agree with me on this point.
