I'm in market for a smartphone this New Year. Just went through all the related informative posts on our forum. It has further persuaded me to join Windows bandwagon.

May I know your budget please? FYI, 525 and 1320 are coming soon in January and they're not to be ignored if it fits in your budget.

The initial budget is 10,000 bucks (flexible depending upon the product). There is still sometime. I am keeping the research on.

I thought to buy Nokia Lumia but ended up in buying Samsung Galaxy Grand Duos I9082 last month, what I mean is I preferred Android to Windows 8. Here's why. I can't attach more than one word/excel/powerpoint in a single mail and can't attach word/excel/powerpoint in a reply or forward mail. Also all word/excel/powerpoint should be stored in cloud and accessed from cloud, can't store in phone memory directly. This means internet availability all the time which is tough in India at least (I do have Vodafone 3g in my phone). No apps can overcome these issues. Since I need phone for business/official usage, I could not buy them. Please note that this limitations are with Apple phones as well. Surprisingly, none if these issues will be for photos in Windows/Apple OS.
Also, Windows 8 is relatively new and hence didn't want to buy Windows phone at this point in time. Android doesn't have these issues at least. Kingston office is good and very useful in Android platform for word/excel/powerpoint edit available freely in Android Apps store.
Samsung I9082 is VFM, a phablet with 5" screen size, real fast. Costed me Rs. 17,100/- (Dealer's price available for retail custormers in Mumtaz, Kolkata shop). One may go for better specs if one has better budget.
Thought to put my phone buying analysis hereby to help you decide.
