If you're researching HHO, Im with you.
Now that's a news for me. HHO kits have two issues - they run on distilled water and they need a whole lot of battery power. I have been thinking of trying them out and thinking of the ways of making them commercially viable. What about you?
What I know is that HHO kits burn the hydrogen in the cylinders(even in our fuels too, the H part of the hydrocarbon is burnt and the C compounds come out of exhaust) and the exhaust is nothing but oxygen which is used for combustion inside the cylinder. Hence they should provide better performance and better engine life altogether.

I have an event in sight(from SAE and IEEE combined) where we can get some help and even present an idea or two if we have something. [evil]

5 Years Back, I did extensive research on HHO, but stopped due to lack of Support and Vitamin M.
HHO, Also known as Alpha hydroxyl or browns gas, Is nothing but a mixture of Hydrogen and Oxygen.
Hydrogen is a very potent fuel, and oxygen helps burning.Which makes it a very clean, No emissions fuel.

About power yes, HHO takes about 20 Amps, which is like running all day with your headlights & Fogs on. However thats not much on large vehicles. I think HHO is more apt for Advanced, long running SUV, trucks, Buses than small sedans and hatchbacks.

So put in 100 Rs. Petrol which = 1.51 Lts in my Kinetic Honda.
I followed the instructions from T*hp. The instructions are 2.5ml/lit.
So put 3ml (accurately measured with syringe) and vigourusly shaked the Kinetic for 10 secs.
Then kicked. Here comes the ShOcKeR! The engine didn't start!!!
Left for 5 mins and thank God! The engine came to life shouting out (gave accelerator[;)])!
The engine seemed smooth. The initial part of throttle is very smooth and felt like a 4stroke inside (that smooth!!!).
Didnt felt any power upgrade.

Man it takes a big heart and patience to try such experiments! I'm keenly watching the thread. rather why don't you go for something proven like hho, free flow exhaust, green cotton Filter etc?

Already put in HP Free Flow Filter and upjetted!
HHO and FFE is out of my budget.

Yes, Getting permission from Dad is very very difficult. He even made me afraid that the engine and you will blast into pieces if some reaction happened between Petrol and Acetone.

What I feel is the combustion has become more efficient than before.

Yeah will surely report about FE.
Yeah, My Kinetic was bought on 5-5-1995 (Absolutely, it is older than me!:lol!:)
If May 5 of 2015 comes, it will become 20! and if May 11 of 2015 comes, I will turn 14!!!
Many are looking me strange. Everyone says "He is a Idiot for sure! How come he put in a Performance FF Filter on a Grandpa Old Scooter!!!???". I want to [gun] them down!!!

So, seeing the slight improvement on my Kinetic, tried it on my Splendor and God! Power Improved Noticeably!
Have you ever saw burnouts on a Splendor?[evil] Done that after adding Acetone!
Exhaust note has improved (I mean, exhaust note became crispier and sharper)!
So Yeah, Acetone does wonders. I would recommend it! I only tested on a 2-stroke (Kinetic) and a 4-stroke (Splendor). I have not tested in car engines so don't ask about it![;)]

Also see this one with proof who believe that Acetone makes the engine's parts deteriorate quicker and faster esp. rubber and plastic parts:

They Said:
No Issues with the Engine Parts

I have soaked carburetor parts in acetone for months and even years to see if there is any deterioration. Any parts made to run with gasoline will work with acetone just fine. I presently have parts soaking in 1, 2, 5, and 10 % acetone/gasoline mixes as well as just gasoline. That is 20 to 200 times too much just to be sure. The 30R7 rated parts are in perfect condition. All my tests have been run with Texaco gasoline. I tested the gas stations in my area to FIRST find the best gasoline BEFORE putting acetone in the tank. But I have no idea from a pragmatic view what other gasolines do except that when I attempt to use them, my MPG drops like a rock. So for purely monetary reasons, I run the best available gasoline. When my dyno is built this summer, I will test all the gasolines in my area and publish the results on the web. I hear from engineers out West that Chevron gas is very good. I used it and it was fine during trips to California. I attach more credence to engineers who report things of interest to me because of their training and knowledge of testing methods. You may want to look up Science and Testing Methods in my site.
They also warned that:
Acetone and Your Engine:
Acetone is known to deteriorate cheap plastics and other substances. While the components in a car's fuel system should be of high quality, and thus immune to any deleterious effects from exposure to acetone, be aware that "ideal" is not always the case in practice. Be advised that not all systems have been tested against acetone. Until such thorough testing has been accomplished and certified by a accredited authority, you assume your own liability for experimentally testing acetone in your particular system.

that's awesome!
do post a pic or vid of your burnouts!

even though the acetone isn't affecting directly, you WILL HAVE reduced life due to higher stress on components esp clutch, gears, bearings.

good luck. still waiting for FE.

@Mr. Bhvm
Wait for sometime! I am a small kid and I dont drive a lot. It may take atleast a week. Already a mileage check is running for my just run-in period finished Wego!

Update(s) for Splendor:
Bike feels much smoother now. Starts at the first crank. Bike now has a fun-to-drive factor!!!
1st, 2nd and 3rd gears gives all the fun and power! The Throttle Response has improved leaps and bounds esp. noticeable at higher revs.

Update for Kinetic Honda:
Yeah, now I can feel the power! Throttle Response is very very awesome (Let me try to express in words: Twist the throttle and you go Vrroooooomm!!!). No smoke from exhaust! Air is coming out which seems to be clear!

I thought the Doomsday was scheduled at 21-12-2012... I'll rewrite the statement:

Dafuq, gotta try it out!

And you better not test it on your new car anytime soon [;)] Just a word of advise, don't take it otherwise please.

@Shrid
Never ever I will test it on my new car!

Update for Splendor:
I am suffering the loss of RAW Power! (You might ask that the Splendor has the raw power but the pre-2000 models had it - the one without pollution controllers) [glasses]
Let me try to express it in words - pull the clutch, slot in the first gear, rev it higher and higher, quickly leave the clutch, the front wheel should be in air with a powerful pull, but it didnt!:suspect:
So, Acetone makes power delivery linear (though I only want RAW Power![:D]) and smooooth!

Here is the Report for Kinetic Honda.
After putting FF Air Filter and Upjetting, Mileage dropped to 17 km/1.5 L
So after adding Acetone, Mileage increased to 25 km/1.5 L.
So, Mileage improved by a whopping 8kms !!!

:cool:I LUV <3 ACETONE!!!

I don't get what you're trying to do man.
you're driving an unsafe, tattered scooter at 10 - 15 kmpl.

I can drive my i10 in safety and comfort at 23kmpl.
and it's performance will be better than any scooter with 200%acetone dose.

You know?
The purpose of the Kinetic is only for School going and not for city (traffic) usage.

So, put in 3 litres of petrol with very very minimal amount of use of acetone per litre. I put 0.4ml/L.
Power delivery is very linear and rode 73 kms(only rode, dont think that it has ran only 73kms for 3L fuel) so far. I am currently in my grandma's house so I will be riding it (maybe) tomorrow again.
