Yes the roads are indeed narrow from Dodabetta, isnt Coimbatore 86 kms from Dodabetta, by mistake after the signal i had went to coimbatore route.
Then again came back to the right direction.
I hope you visited Madras Regiment centre of the Army, this place strictly photos are not allowed.
There is also a golf field with scenic place.
Also the view point of Sunset is superb at this place.

Dodabetta road is pretty steep. Did not want to put pressure on the engine.

BTW, i was there in Ooty for about 10 years and have explored the place like any other local. The golf links that you refer to is near my school and we used to visit it just like that. Most evenings we used to go there to play around. Also, there is a secret spring there, which only few folks know.
