Hello,
I was watching few pictures from my trip to Hyderabad, so thought that I might share few pictures with the esteemed members of this forum. I shall be glad if the members like them.
These photos were taken at the
Chowmahalla Palace.
Pictures from the outside of these vast palace. There are actually four palaces in one complex, hence it is named Chowmahalla. Knowledgable members or other members from Hyderabad may please correct me if I am wrong.
Firearms.
Swords.
Tableware and cutlery.
The imposing Durbar Hall.
The royal throne.
The following pictures were taken at the "Old Palace", or the
Purani Haveli. Many everyday objects used by the royal family, made of precious metals were displayed there.
Cups, plates, dishes, etc, all made of pure gold.
Dress containing gold threads.
This tiffin box in the center was worth more than 5 KG of gold and allegedly was even stolen once. Fortunately it was recovered soon.
Outside view of this building.
Lastly, this is a picture of the world's largest wardrobe, housed in this building. It is even complete with a hand powered lift (elevator) and I request you read more about this
here.
I shall be glad if you like these pictures. Please also feel free to comment.
