January 2023 - 10000 km in 6 months

Current high miler in the family. Next service was at 10000 km/1 year, which we made it in half the time.

Again chose Marshal, the FNG turned ASC. No rip-offs, no prior appointments, no rush, neat job.

Job card approval request came as soon as I left. Estimate was only ₹102. They missed out oil price, seems a glitch in MS software end. Additionally, requested wheel rotation with spare wheel.

Got the car back by 5:30 in the evening. Car was spick and clean.

Cable ties weren't charged this time too. Washer tank was brimmed, but not with the MGP pouch, so not charged.

First puncture. Mended self.

The third registration mark got further disintegrated. No idea how to get replacement. Asked the authorized HRSP vendor, who said these are generated along with number plates and they can't be reproduced from their end for the time being. Seen many cars without this sticker that had proper HSRP. Quality speaks.

May 2023 - First Claim

The heavy gate banged on the car when car was entering. Combined speed made it worse. Took to Indus Motors as the regular ASC wasn't approved for cashless claims by Maruti Insurance.

Claim process was superfast. Approved the very next day. Policy was Maruti - National Insurance. Work delayed by the shipment of fender from Kochi. Got back in 4 days.

Damage from pocket

Policy Deductible - ₹ 1,000.00
Sanitization Charge - ₹ 175.00 (The bigger Maruti ASC's charged, while the smaller ones never bothered)

Total - ₹ 1,175.00

Inspected with a microscope

Factory perfect finishing.

Made sure they replaced instead of repairing.

Spanky new.

The transporter. Two kids cycle in a go.

Cousin's in laws had one in funky orange, VXi+.

2023 June - Speaker Upgrade (on a Budget)

Got hold of this amazing Honda speakers for a bargain. Spotted by an antique hunter friend at a scrap seller. Got them for just ₹ 250.00 for pair.

Polarity check.

Tested on the Beat.

Demo. Better frequency response across all frequencies with deep bass and treble.

Checking HU connection to spot the wire on the other end.

Connector in the B pillar frame, under the trim.

LHS. Violet and blue for central locking. Remaining two for the rear speaker. Green + and back -.

RHS. Purple + and white -

Maruti OE vs Honda OE

Maruti speaker - 39102M62S00 - ₹375/piece

Honda - EAS16P829B
Came in Honda City 2017 model. Both of them 4 ohms. Cut off the tabs for Honda doors.

Connectors from bin and the custom plug-N-play connector.

3M tape on duty. Won't fall of as one would expect. The speaker is so light. . .

Connection made. Installed Honda ones in front door.

If it falls off some day, adding a bolt will take care of it.

Now to the rear.

Cut the dust cover.

Speaker wires from bin.

Routing the wire. Had this one in plenty of this clear speaker wire from an uninstall from a friend's car. It was a mistake. Substandard cheap wire, oxidized in a week and had to redo with new wire.

Connected and sleeved.

Maruti speaker mount hardware.

Fits like this and just press fit on the door.

Rear speaker installed.

Simplest grill from the bin. Couldn't get hold of the original S-Presso grille yet (even now). MGP outlets are suggesting ordering at the time of service from service center.

Grille installed. Will replace with OE grille some day.

Night work.

Installed the other side and called it a day.

Last thing is to enable rear speaker in HU.

Overall setup is great now.
