Hi furious_driver, For Hyundai Xcent the Manufacturing month is mentioned in the 19 digit VIN Under the driver seat.It must be the 17 digits that you received plus *F (F for june manufacturing)
^^ Same happened here. Just check at the label they put near rear window. There you can see your 19 digit VIN. Even for me same thing happened where SA guy gave me 17 digit and i went to check it and found one with *F append at end of VIN number, labelled as Chassis No.

At the show room, there was a i20 sportz version displayed and it had "BD" located at the rear window opposite to the driver side. Is it the one you are referring?
Similarly I learnt from my friend that the VIN number will be stamped on the driver seat frame. i.e just below the driver seat.Is it the only area where the VIN will be stamped?
