Why Only Automatic Variants Have ESP or ESC?

ESP [Electronic Stability Program] or ESC [Electronic Stability Control] is an mandatory feature in regions like Europe, America, Australia etc. This keep vehicles stable during some uneven/sudden maneuvers at high speeds.

Although in INDIA even ABS & Airbags is not compulsory.

Some of the Automatic variants have ESP or ESC as standard, for example cars like Polo GT, Ford Figo AT, Ford Eco Sports etc.

So if you compare a top end manual version of cars that is near to range of 5-10 lakhs do not have ESP or ESC as a standard or optional feature. Where as automatic variants do have that features.

Comparing Polo 1.5 TDI with Polo GT which are equally powerful or Figo 1.5D is equally powerful as Figo 1.5P AT. So ideally both should have ESP as standard.[roll]

Does anyone have the idea behind such strategy/design?

Its not true.
My XUV w8 manual has ABS, ESP, Corner stability control and Rollover mitigation tech.
XUV AWD manual also has Torque on demand and Torque steer correction in addition to above.

Its just how some brands loot Indians by skipping these features which are standard even on base variants in UK/ US.

My hyundai i10 1.1L Petrol manual also has ABS and airbags as standard. The new Nexon is also going to come with ABS and Airbags as standard right from base variants.

Sir your car price tag hits above 15 lakhs, so possibility is that it will have ESP, CSC and most safety feature.

Basically my question was why car with AT only have ESP which falls under 10 lakhs.

There is no technical reason.
The only hypothetical reason I can think of are high taxes that push low end cars into Mid end segment. And Manufacturers are forced to cut corners to offer competitive prices in a heated market.

Plus, Indian Mentality which focuses on Fancy looks, FE and low cost rather than safety, power and so on.
