Dear Highway Ranger, your snaps are amazing and I always make it a point to browse them. It would be great if you could post few techniques how to click the snaps with Point n Shoot n DSLRs.

Thanks in advance.

I guess that will be off topic. I will reply by PM.

Hi guys,
A little something from my side..
Pics taken at: Bandipur,Karnataka
Nice to see one more who is interested in wildlife. I liked the third picture a lot.

BTW, I too was driving around those forests the last 4 days and just returned home. I will be sharing some of the wildlife/birds that we saw over there in the coming days.

Could you please tell me when did you spot this exactly? I went in the same route last Sunday morning seeking a tusker, but i think i missed it somehow and managed to capture the following ones.

Your Photography is always good. It doesn't become better by Camera but by the person who holds it.

I hope, if you create a separate thread, it will be great help. I eagerly looking to improve my phootgraphy skills. [clap]
Thank you. I had created a thread here for the very purpose of sharing knowledge and the basics. But it was criticized by some expert photographers in this forum. Since I am just an amateur in this field, (we just take photos of the wildlife that we encounter on our drives for our record/memories), I thought it was better to keep quite. [;)]

Yes, we went down to Bandipur twice on Sunday, morning and evening. Boy, there was heavy traffic that day. Sorry we could not meet. I was in fact keeping a look out for your car. Some how missed [frustration]

We did the Moyar route on Saturday evening, Monday morning and Tuesday early morning. We saw the elephants on Saturday also and there was a crossing. But I could not photograph it as I was not in position and there were a lot of those Jeep safari guys and could not get clear view.
Monday was my lucky day and there were very few jeep safaris. So I could drive at my own pace. This was sighted at around 11:30 am on Monday more than halfway towards Moyar dam. It was quite aggressive. This was part of a group that had a pregnant Elephant and some young ones. (probably trying to protect them). By 3 pm they had closed that route as these were in an attacking mood. Neighbors at our stay were turned back by the people there and they returned disappointed.

Here is one of the same Elephant before the crossing... when I was crossing it...

I'm just going :offtopic: .

You can check a Youtube channel named PhotographersOnUtube. I have learnt my basic skills from there. There's a website as well hosted by the same guys, you'll be able to get the link on Youtube itself.

I liked the thread. Some people are always available to criticize. The so called experts where not ready to share the knowledge. Being amateur, you are trying to share the knowledge. Now you know whose knowledge is beneficial.

But we need critics also to improve our skill and quality. So IMO it is not better to keep quite, Please come with Bang.
