Good to hear that they upped the exchange bonus, May i know the details of your booking? Like which variant you're planning to book and how much savings you're getting on the whole [clap]
Hello Ratheesh,

I am looking at Pristine White XMS Diesel variant. After discounts the current pricing stands at 7.89L on road.

Tata Zest's anniversary is nearing. Any chance of Tata releasing the anniversary edition like Vista (Indica Vista - 1st Anniversary Edition). I hoping for some jazz on already awesome car in the segment to juice up the independence day and onam offers.

Indica Vista 10th Anniversary edition : Indica Vista - 10th Anniversary Edition
Hi Ratheesh,

I hope your wish comes true.
By the way do you have/can find out the dates when the above links were published.

Because, if they are planning an anniversary edition for zest, it would have been in their factories by now - given that 11th Aug is the date.
And there is no such news/scoop/leaked pics on the net.

For e.g, Elite i20 planning an anniversary edition is already in news :

Hyundai To Launch Special Edition Elite i20 In August 2015 | MotorBeam – Indian Car Bike News & Reviews

So, though I wish there is an anniversary edition for Zest[:)], but practically am a bit skeptical.[roll]

That is pretty disappointing.
Especially for TML , when they have done everything right for this car and the returns are not being as expected.[cry]

Wow zest rides better than figo aspire, steers better wether at low speeds or high speeds, all this against a car which is known for its handling and steering feel. Tata has come a long way but its unfortunate that very few buyers every month are appreciating this looking at the sales charts. Tata isn`t aggressive enough in communicating all the attributes to the buyers. [anger]Just go through the comparo.

I was hoping for some anniversary edition with blackened roof, mood lights, under seat woofer, etc
I think that the offers provided were of dealers not from the manufacturer. So I'm still hoping tata motors to release some goodies as part of their first anniversary.

The problem is even if Tata goes ahead and launches Anniversary edition, people are ready to nitpick on small aspects and say its not reliable etc in the general public, most of them wouldn't have even driven the car. It's only the informed few like us who would be interested in these changes which is a minority.

A simple example here is the poll for this thread which should make it seem Zest is the number one selling vehicle but its not infact it's in last position i can only imagine what would happen to Zest numbers once Aspire is in as well.

^^ Nice to hear Zest completed it's 1st Anniversary, hope many cumulative dezire buyers turns their heads into Tata Showrooms and give a look at the Zest before deciding.

However there is another wannabe strong contender joining the party; Figo Aspire, has taken much of inspirations from these hatches and has communicated people for their acceptable faces, however, to hit the sweet spot the "pricing" plays an important role.

Looking by the features offered and specs in the books, it will be priced competitively with the Dezire, but Ford, listen that you are about to touch the monstrous sales figure and better get this thing right.

Ford doesn't have that many showrooms and that much good will to get monstrous sales figure i feel atleast in the long run it would be difficult unless they setup more showrooms

Somebody on Tata Zest FB page posted the following :
Struts replaced already ( i wonder the quality being used)
Music System by HARMAN is bad quality, cheap fitting which are coming out plus horrible software which re-sets the system all the time.

MOST IMPORTANT OF ALL IS THE ALL TIME PROBLEM WHICH I HAVE ALWAYS FACED IN TATA CARS IS WATER SEEPAGE IN THE BOOT. This problem is a PATENT with TATA, its such a simple thing which you guys cant master.

Has anyone faced anything like that
