@AppU and @appus - Golden Temple at Vellore is something I wanting to see for a very long time. Let me know if it is ok to join you guys at Vellore when you plan for it.

To reach Yercaud you need to take a diversion from Salem. From Salem to Yercaud its hardly 30-40 kms. I too have not been to Yercaud yet but heard a lot about it from my friends. Suppose to be a good hill station and not very crowded.

What is there in it. You are always welcome. :) [Sorry for misunderstanding me. I take my other half where ever i go. So, i was asking in another thread about 'family' than singles. That was just to take her along than leaving her home and going somewhere alone]

Yes. Yercaud is a nice hill station 5300+ feet above see level. The water is cold/chill there. I visited when i was in 10th standard or so. Heard the things are changed now.
We wanted to go there but the narrow uphill pulling us back from it. (I heard it is tougher than Gudallur-Ooty road).

I also have plan during April 24th to Bangalore by car and go to one of these places(Golden temple,yelagiri,yercaud etc.,) on 25th with family and hope few of our members also interested to join the trip with families. Just fix a venue and 2-5 people start on a given day , others who are interested and free will join as simple as that . Or else this thread will run in pages and pages and nothing will happen like the previous chickmangluar thread .

As AppU said 'Golden temple' should be visited in the evenings. So, start early and spend some time in Yelagiri. Instead of driving back to Bangalore, drive to Golden temple.

yes Appus, 24,25th are middle of the week, but 25th is wedding anniversary of my BIL, so we planned to drive down to Bangalore on 24th and proceed to one of these places on25th. I am also looking for a TAI meet during the same time near Bangalore

For me in April 14th and 15th are the only dates. if needed i can take off on 13th. In may no weekends are possible.
It comes after Salem and roughly around 230 Kms or 4 hours drive from Bangalore, and Yes it is an hill station it's also called as a poor man's Ooty, it's a decent place with only one nice resort to boast about, had been their couple of times on a biking trip.
