Suzuki has released yet another Jimny dressed in decals and stickers, with a few reinforcements to its body. At the 2024 Thailand International Motor Show, the three-door Suzuki Jimny Offroad Edition debuted wearing some terrain-designed stickers, a few emblems from the Rhino Edition, and...that’s mostly it.
There are no tweaks or modifications to the engine and the overall performance of this Jimny, as with the other limited-edition variants the Jimny, which, to be fair, is already quite a capable little off-roader in standard form. Although it does come in a lot more colors, and two-tone paint jobs.
Up front, the heritage-edition grille makes a lasting first impression, with the Suzuki name cleanly spelled out in between the bulging headlights—a signature look of some classic Jimny models. Below, a silver skid plate has been added, similar to the Rhino Edition. The similaries continue around the car with the extra plating added to the side rockers.
Across the driver and passenger doors are stickers that look like terrain and weather patterns with the words ‘Jimny Offroad Edition’ mixed in. The pattern features a spectrum of colors with deep reds, light grays, and splashes of yellow. Around the door handles and the fuel cover, more stickers adorn the car—this time with a more rugged design profile.
The original Jimny Rhino Edition, which debuted in Malaysia back in 2023, featured red mud flaps that added a subtle hint of personality to the tiny off-roader. Sadly, those mud flaps haven’t made it to the Rhino Edition now being sold in the Philippines. Thankfully, the new Offroad Edition uses those same red mud flaps against its rear tires.
At the back, there’s a tri-colored Offroad Edition emblem fixed above the Suzuki label, and a wheel cover with a bright red rhino painted on.
Performance-wise, this Jimny Offroad Edition keeps the standard 1.5-liter engine that produces 102hp and 130Nm of torque, along with a four-speed automatic transmission.
