Here is a brief review of L620 after couple of days usage (RK, sorry for hijacking your thread. Thought a separate thread is unwarranted)

Initial impressions -

a) Quite different from the crowd
b) Windows tiled concept is quite fun to work with
c) For the price, have to say performance is quite smooth and fluidic. No amount of lag anywhere.
d) Imported data (contacts & messages) from my old phone & paired with Punto's Blue & Me without any fuss
e) Size of the phone is quite perfect to hold it in one hand & operate
f) The build is quite solid for the price (Just like my Punto [lol]
g) Battery life isnt all that great as of now. Have read world wide reviews that it stabilizes after 4-5 charge - discharge cycle
e) Clicked couple of snaps & found that camera is quite good. Front camera is an added advantage for Skype calls.
f) City Lense is a cool app to use
g) I was using Nokia maps & navigation on E5 earlier, Nokia seems to have updated maps quite well for India. Anyways havent put it to real test as of now. So lets see.
h) Nokia music store is a good option for music lovers. Can download latest songs from this store without having to bother about other mp3 downloading sites.

Keeping rest of the reviews reserved till I explore the phone completely. Of course if one is Apps & game freak, better looks elsewhere. This is simply a no-nonsense entry level smart phone which does its job elegantly
carfreak, Nice review. Looks like a good all in one package!
Regarding the battery life, yes after couple of cycles it should be ok. But main thing is anyone gets a new device, you tend to experiment too much and be online for longer period [evil]. That is the main cause of battery drain. Initially there is lot of show offs, and installs, generally people enable almost everything available on the phone. Samsung has something called, video hub, music hub, and then Samsung d(r)ive, social connector etc which rarely used by people but drain the battery extensively when enabled. First time users definitely enable everything. But slowly you will learn and battery gets optimized by itself.

Guys please don't buy any mobile and product from ebay. Why?
[Complaint] Oh no!Ebay engulfed 39k,please help:what to do now??
Brother,
I have no personal attachment with ebay.
But, here are the facts.
First - He purchased from Global Easy Buy . That products may (not) have warranty like selling in India.
We should be more sensible purchasing online. If you are buying some products online without warranty, you should be blamed for.

If i am buying a product from ebay without warranty, i may buy a product which costs less than 1000-2000rs and not 40000 RS . It is a huge money dear

When i bought my camera from ebay for around 63K, I knew that it comes with VAT bill and 2 year warranty from Nikon. Forget the seller. We can directly go to Nikon if we have the VAT Receipt.

Online buyers should be smart enough to judge what is wrong and what is good. You cant just go and buy from any site like 'shoppingmantra' . When you buy a product even with a 'ebay buyers protection', stay away for International item which do not hold 'Global warranty' !

I will purchase again from ebay for sure [glasses]

Saw the seller : i2cworld_inc3
I have purchased 'Otterbox case for Dell Streak from him' . It came on time. Was bit expensive. around 2K. As it was just a casing, i didnt worry much about warranty !

i was about to buy a lumia 620 today for my sister , but guess will wait. lumia 520 will be available in april [:D]

http://www.gsmarena.com/compare.php3?idPhone1=5322&idPhone2=5147

520 will not have NFC , who needs it [:D] but i guess they should have added a secondary camera and there's no camera flash as well. anyways , price is speculated at 10000 rupees , hardware is the same + bigger screen.

620 is better in all terms in except the screen and design.
Look for 720 AHC.
it's for my sister. she didn't want to spend more than 10k on a phone but i told her 620 is good.

well 520's is around 10k and the negatives i mentioned above is not a deal breaker considering it will be the cheapest Nokia WP8.

and the actual price difference will matter , 620's available for 13500 rupees.

ebay buyer protection is gimmick buddy. Ebay is more of seller oriented online shopping. I have seen lots of case where ebay is doing nothing and the buyer has to approach consumer court to get his money back.

Then that's the best. I see Nokia going good in these range of WP8 phones.

Just search in google for 'flipkart consumer complaints'. You can get 100+ results where customers are complaining about 30 day replacement policy. (I still prefer buying from flipkart if i see the same price elsewhere).

Ebay -> They do not keep item. It is distributors or individuals sell directly. So risk involved for buyers. Judge wisely.
Flipkart -> They have warehouse in many places. Delhi/Bangalore/Chennai etc. So, they may check the product before selling anything.

Shopclues/Homeshop/infibeam and many other sites works like ebay.
Pepperfry/Indiatimes got some inventory and sources directly from distributors

So, again - I will say 'Judge wisely' .
[Sorry to the OP for using this thread for discussing something else]

Friends,

A small update of my L 620 after using for a week

Hmm,

Nice discussion mates, as the owner of a L 620 from a week , I can say the following

1. Screen is just sufficient, not too big and not too small, browsing and reading is pretty good
2. Battery is small by capacity, but it delivers better with the optimisation with WP8 as controling the tasks is easy and the applications get closed the moment we click the back button. The battery back up has increased with every recharge and presently my phone lasts for 1 and half day with moderate usage of everything
3. Wonderful thing is offline maps from Nokia and are really accurate and with voice guiding.
4. Screen clarity is really good in sunlight where I used to struggle with my previous samsung phone
5. Voice clarity is excellent and speaker option delivers good sound
6. The alphabets size is really good when you want to dail a new number and sms option is good with integrated with all the messages as a thread when you do multiple messages with one contact
7. Camera clarity is excellent with some awesome features with "smart shoot" option. We can scan the document and save or translate to other language quickly
8. Tiles view is good which are live tiles and giving good information on start screen it self and we can changed the tiles as per our requirements
9. Nokia store has all required apps, so I never felt it is falling short
10. I never tried with games as I do not like to use them on a phone
11. Browsing speed is pretty fast on my 3G and downloading is excellent when I am connected to wifi
12. No lag, no hanging and no self switch off or restart reported so far

@ Vijay, my pleasure! Yes, this thread has been really useful to me!

@ RK,

Good to know that you are enjoying your Lumia [clap] I use net, chat & messaging extensively. So small battery is the only hitch for me.

Common comments by people after checking out Lumia 620 -
a) Overall feel of the phone appears premium for the price tag.
b) OS is very fluidic and lag free.
