Simple Dot One e-Scooter Launched

Simple Energy has announced the that its upcoming electric scooter, Simple Dot One, will launch on 15th December 2023. This new scooter will be positioned as a sub-variant of the recently introduced Simple One.

• Simple Dot One will be available with a price tag below one-lakh rupees. Equipped with a fixed 3.7 kWh battery, the Dot ONE achieves 151 Kms of certified range and 160 Kms in IDC.
• Specially crafted tires play a crucial role in optimizing on-road range, thereby enhancing the overall efficiency of the two-wheeler.
• The scooter boasts over 30 liters of under-seat storage, as well as features a touchscreen instrument cluster that manages various functions and offers app connectivity for added convenience.
• Simple Dot One exclusive pre-bookings are set to open on 15th December 2023 and deliveries will commence from January 2024 onwards.

Bengaluru-based EV startup Simple Energy has launched its second electric scooter, the Dot One, at an introductory price of Rs 99,999 (ex-showroom, Bengaluru) for Simple One Bengaluru customers who pre-booked the scooter. This limited offer stands while inventory lasts.

The official launch price for new customers, which will be “slightly higher”, according to the company, will be revealed in January 2024. Simple One has opened bookings online.

The Dot One is equipped with only a fixed battery, delivering 151km certified range and 160km in IDC. Available in four colours (Namma Red, Brazen Black, Grace White and Azure Blue), the Dot One comes with a 750W charger. Deliveries will commence first in Bengaluru, followed by other cities in a phased manner.

Simple One claims the Dot One, which is shod with specially designed tubeless tyres on 12-inch wheels, accelerates from 0 to 40kph in 2.77 seconds. Equipped with a 3.7kWh battery capacity and an 8.5kW electric motor, the e-scooter delivers a peak torque output of 72Nm. Safety features include CBS, complemented by efficient disc brakes. The EV has 35-litre under-seat storage. Other product highlights include a touchscreen instrument cluster, offering diverse functionality and app connectivity.

Simple Energy has announced the launch of Simple Dot One at a starting price of ₹1,39,999 (Ex.Showroom, Bangalore). Pre-bookings for ₹1,947 will open from 27th January, for all customers, whereas priority shall be given to existing customers to switch from Simple One to Dot One from 1st Jan 2024 onwards.
