Security For Aftermarket 2-DIN Head Unit

Hi,

wondering whether to upgrade my 1Din HU (which is also aftermarket by the way) to a 2Din HU. Want to know what the advantages of this are. Also, my biggest concern- what is the antitheft security? Since I park on the road, I usually take the face plate off overnight. However, with a 2Din HU, I believe this feature is not available. In that case, what security does that have?

Im afraid there's no easy security. Install dark curatians so it cannot be seen.
Install alarms in your car.

Do you have some security system installed? Check if it fires off when you remove your current HU while the car is locked. If it does, then you are one step closer. My friend's Alto used to trigger the alarm when the HU was removed. Installing dark curtains is not an option as it would make thieves more restless as to what is inside the car. It would also attract cops.
