In terms of changes, the forthcoming Royal Enfield adventure bike will feature a much more evolutionary design rather than a revolutionary one. The bike strikes a perfect balance between heritage and modernity. The model will come equipped with a circular LED headlamp, a tall windscreen, and wire-spoked wheels. It will also be equipped with block pattern tires, making it suitable for diverse terrains.

Furthermore, similar to the old Himalayan, the new Himalayan 450 will boast a sleek fuel tank with braces and come with the signature front beak design. In terms of functionality, the new bike will have a high ground clearance, long wheelbase, sturdy grab rails, and a side-mounted exhaust, all contributing to increased ground clearance. Additionally, it will come equipped with an engine bash plate.

In terms of features, the forthcoming Himalayan will come loaded with tech. The list of features included in the upcoming bike consists of a circular fully digital instrument cluster equipped with tripper navigation for navigation assistance. It will also feature LED tail lamps and indicators. The seating setup will be split style. The Himalayan 450 will also feature touring accessory mounting points along with rider-focused ergonomics, facilitating control and maneuverability. It will have footpegs designed for stand-up riding and a tall seat height.

Suspension duties will be handled by a longer travel suspension with upside-down forks at the front and a monoshock at the rear end. It will also be equipped with a dual-channel ABS system, front and rear disc brakes. As for the powertrain, as previously mentioned, this Himalayan 450 will be the brand’s first-ever liquid-cooled engined motorcycle and will sport an all-new single-cylinder 450cc engine likely to generate around 40 bhp of power.

Royal Enfield is set to launch the all-new Himalayan 450 between October 30 and November 1. As for pricing, it is likely to be priced around Rs. 2.6 lakh (ex-showroom). Once in the market, it will face competition from models like the KTM 390 Adventure X, BMW G310 GS, and the upcoming Bajaj/Triumph Scrambler 400X.
