A video of a Royal Enfield motorcycle bursting into flames is going viral on Twitter and other social media platforms. The video has emerged from the Anantapur district of Andhra Pradesh, where the bike can be seen parked outside a temple where the incident took place. Reports suggest that the bike owner, Ravichandra, rode the bike for 387 km one-way from Mysuru in Karnataka to reach the Nettikanti Anjaneya Swamy temple in the Guntakal Mandal. The reason for the fire is yet to be ascertained.

The video shows the fuel tank exploding of the Royal Enfield motorcycle, which appears to be a Classic 350. The bike is surrounded by people, who move away as the fire intensifies. Sources suggest that the motorcycle was purchased in 2017 and not an all-new offering as certain news outlets claim. carandbike has reached out to Royal Enfield for an official statement and will update this piece as and when the company responds.

Reports further state that no one was injured in the incident but the fire does shed light once again on the multiple cases of two-wheelers catching fire across the country. However, the more recent cases have been related to electric two-wheelers, while this is one of the first incidents reported in recent times that involves a petrol-powered offering.
