Re: Fuel Prices Reaching Sky High!!!

With Petrol price of approx. Rs.63 Per Liter, Delhi is still the cheapest. Today, I watched on TV some minister stating "Government has no role in price hike". I mean, what the heck?

happy news for the people of gods own country. the newly elected govt has decided to waive off the extra tax it would receive due to the petrol price hike. it woul translate to a decrease of rs 1.21 / litre. the price would come to rs 65.92.

IMHO, it's time for diesel now. Diesel will also see a steep hike within a year. Diesel was spared as our agriculture is dependent on diesel(read tractors, pumps etc) and of course most diesel SUV's are owned by politicians.

Re: Fuel Prices Reaching Sky High!!!

I don't understand why the Fuel prices keep on increasing in our country. Okay, i know that the crude oil prices lead to these the fluctuations, but what about other countries. There are many developing nations who are still enjoying extremely low fuel prices. Now the rumors of diesel price hike is gaining momentum, if it really happens be ready to shell out extra for each and every commodity.

Re: Fuel Prices Reaching Sky High!!

Government cannot increase Diesel prize just like they do or let private companies do for the Petrol. Lot of things depend on Diesel vehicles, inter state buses, Goods Truck etc. Movement a single rupee increase in Diesel, other items will be increased by 5 rupees ateast. Someone says, it is time for Diesel. Yes it is true because it will take some time to reach at 60+ mark and till then you will be able to enjoy some peaceful life thinking that you are paying less at every filling. But unfront shelling out at least a lakh rupee, people need to calculate before taking a decision but many people ask me whice Diesel car they should buy ? Point to note that they are asking for Diesel car and not a car.

Govt. has increased taxes on Diesel vehicles and they are more expensive to own now but still people are and will buy Diesel cars / vehicles.

Re: Fuel Prices Reaching Sky High!!

Need of the hour is to develop alternate fuel for all other purpose and spare petrol for petrol heads.

Or else in 10 years it will be beyond common man's reach.

Bullock cart rental company will have a good scope in future. ha ha ...
