India’s electric car segment is witnessing a major influx in recent times. There are new players too and the list of OEMs operating in India is expanding. A French car manufacturer, Ligier, is eying for the Indian market as well. As seen in the latest spy shots, Ligier Myli was recently spied testing in India by ARAI. Let’s take a look.

This is not the first time Ligier Myli has been spied in India. There were spy shots surfacing the internet in mid 2023 as well. This shows that Ligier is consistent in pursuing India as a potential market to launch their Myli 2-door budget EV to rival the likes of MG Comet EV, which is currently India’s most affordable electric car.

Ligier is a known brand with active participation in motorsport. Between 1976 and 1996, Ligier indulged in 24-Hour Le Mans and even in Formula-1 between 1976 and 1996. Post these ventures, Ligier is now making micro electric cars and CVs (Ligier Professional) and Myli is their most affordable offering.

This Mily 2-door electric car was spied in the back of a pickup truck in Pune, India. This vehicle was being tested by ARAI for potential homologation to launch in India. However, a few observations of this spy shot like left-hand-side steering wheel suggest that a launch might not be in the immediate future.

Ligier Myli is offered in four trim levels – G.OOD, I.DEAL, E.PIC and R.EBEL. There are as many as eight colour options, depending on trim level chosen. The newest colour is Velvet Green Metallic. Only the top-spec R.EBEL trim gets dual-tone body cladding all around with a unique front grill with interesting patterns.

The one seen in India might be G.OOD, I.DEAL or E.PIC trim in Red shade. Only the front profile was visible from the pickup truck, showing round headlights and a glossy Black grill with Ligier logo in the middle. This will be a budget offering as denoted by the single windshield wiper blade. The glass rear tailgate somewhat reminds us of Honda Brio (RIP).

G.OOD and I.DEAL trims get 63 km range on a single charge, while it is 123 km with higher-spec E.PIC and R.EBEL trims. Base trim offers 13-inch steel wheels and all four disc brakes while missing out on an audio system. I.DEAL trim offers a 1-DIN audio system along with 14-inch alloy wheels.

E.PIC and R.EBEL trims get 15-inch alloy wheels, a 10-inch touchscreen instrument cluster with Android Auto and Apple CarPlay, and a reversing camera along with other features. Ligier Myli also gets something called High Performance Range with top two trims promising up to 192 km of range on a single charge.
