Nice thread that have been updated regularly only Bulding confidence in prospective Nexon Buyers. Having read your ownership and travelogues it is imperative that you are a fond Car Tourer and love your drive as well.
There is a new XT+ Variant Which has been launched of the Harrier, did you check that out? Could be a good upgrade given the value it offers with the sunroor
Is your prefernce an Autobox?

Thanks for the appreciation.
XT+ Variant
Yes, I saw the news about the new variant. I am not particular about sunroof. But, I need cruise control + AT. So, I like XZA variant [the one below the top variant] more than XZA+, which I like for the diamond-cut alloy wheels, front and rear black skid plates, auto-dimming IRVM more than panoramic sunroof. Let me see.

I feel the earlier video clip showing the front camera (post no. 251) seems better than this one?
Although the opening screen showed 1296P resolution for the dashcam-only mode, I don't find any difference between with and without rearcam. So, I connected the rearcom and installed the dashcam.

After 8 months, I had a long drive in Blue Diamond! Left Bangalore Basaveswara Nagar home at 00:45 am on 03/11/2020 and reached Chennai Royapettah home at 6 am, covering 357 km non-stop in 5 hours 15 minutes. Enjoyed driving Blue Di in sport mode. [:D][clap]

Had the second test-drive of Thar diesel MT at Chennai. Called the Chennai dealer Automotive Mahindra and asked about test-driving Thar in their off-road track specially created next to their showroom. But, I was told that was just for a month and closed now. They offered test-drive at home and the vehicle arrived today afternoon. First, I parked Thar in the garage to ascertain its accommodation inside. Then, I tried ingress and egress several times. I could easily sit on the driver seat without using the step. Afterwards, we went for a 6-km long test-drive. I drove on the beach road and the congested narrow roads of Triplicane. I experienced Thar's commanding road presence and getting respect from big brothers first hand. While taking a right turn from TTK Road to our street, an MTC bus coming from the opposite direction, stopped to give way for Thar!

Did Chennai Royapettah>Bangalore Basaveswara Nagar today. Left Chennai home at 00:10 am and reached Bangalore home at 5:30 am. 357 km in 5 hours 20 minutes home-to-home non-stop accompanied by rains at many sections. We saw more buses and cars on road today compared to our Bangalore>Chennai drive on 3/11.

All's well that ends well.
But leaves many questions unanswered.
How did it happen?
What went wrong? In such a new car.
Can it be avoided next time?
I guess we will never know ,so again All's well that ends well.
What I remember from Tata Manza QJD owner manual is that it is necessary to iddle the car for 30 seconds before switching off the engine after a drive so as to ensure lubrication of turbo & improve its life.

Mr Kirubakar, Customer Advisor of TAFE Access, visited me and handed over the RC [both in original and one extra photocopy].
Yesterday, I decided to have Blue Diamond's RC in smart card in lieu of paper RC; visited the Vahan website, filled in the details for the issue of duplicate RC with the reason 'torn' and paid ₹ 525. When it is ready, I have to visit the RTO and collect the RC in smart card. I did the same for my Thunderbird 500 too by paying ₹ 375.

Blue Diamond was busy yesterday [25/01/2021]. Did Bangalore>Pondy>Chennai. Left Bangalore Basaveswara Nagar home at 2:10 am, off-roaded on the incomplete Chengam bypass, did a nagar valam due to an incomplete railway over bridge in Thiruvannamalai - thanks to NaviMaps - in the early hours, reached Hotel Aaryas, Tindivanam at 8 am, breakfasted, left at 8:45 am, visited Pondy Manakula Vinayakar temple, had tankful at Ashram BP petrol pump costing diesel ₹ 80.52/litre - ironically, costlier than Bangalore's fuel price by a few paise - visited my cousin's home, after a delicious lunch, left there at 3:30 pm and reached Chennai Royapettah home by 7 pm.

Now, Blue Diamond has its RC in smart card in lieu of original paper RC.
