Blue Diamond took us safely and comfortably from Chennai to Kanchipuram - where we had a darshan of Atthi Varadar after 3 hours of waiting in the queue and attended a marriage reception - and then to Bangalore home - where I slept from 3 am to 7:30 am only to get ready for our next programme - and to Mysore - where we attended a betrothal - and finally to return to Bangalore home, where we arrived at 5:30 pm.

Got a message regarding free monsoon check up camp; booked an appointment through the service app and took Blue Di to Concorde, Mysore Road today. Entered at 9:45 am and got the car back at 11 am. SA informed me that rear RHS brake light was not working. After removal and refitting the bulb, it is working well. Apart from this, no other issues.

Pressure-washed, cleaned and waxed Blue Diamond, using micro-fibre, sponge, baniyan cloth and chamois leather in 2 sessions, 2 hours each. Now, it is glittering.

Blue Diamond brought us to our Chennai home safely and comfortably at 7:20 pm yesterday [9 Sep]. We had left Bangalore Basaaveswara Nagar home at 12 noon. We stopped for late lunch at Sai Sangeeth, near Vaniyambadi toll plaza and early dinner/evening tiffin at Sangeetha, Thirumazhisai. Earlier, B Diamond took us Bangalore>Mysore>Bangalore on 8 Sep evening/night for a marriage reception, returning Bangalore home at 11:30 pm. We had evening coffee at Kamat Upachar, Janapadaloka.

How is the power delivery in auto mode?

I am enjoying my AMT. Now, I regret, why I did not buy XUV 500 AT earlier. I like the creep function, which is very useful in bumper-to-bumper city traffic. On the highways for quick acceleration, sudden throttle increase results in downshifting of the gear to make overtaking easier. My left hand and leg thank me now! I love the 'Sport' mode and its sweet exhaust note.

Rattles, no, thankfully. Niggles, yes, occasionally! A few months ago, the oil filter got loosened, resulting in little bit of oil dripping. Blue Di rode on a tow-truck for the first time - and perhaps for the last time too! The details are here. After my return from the NE drive, the same thing repeated. But, I knew the cure. I myself tightened the oil filter!

While climbing a steep gradient in Aizawl, MZ, I switched over to MT. After climbing the hill, I noticed AMT malfunction warning lamp got illuminated on the MID panel. When I switched it back to AMT, it was gone. I rode in MT several times later, but the warning lamp did not get lit.

Yesterday, while taking out, Blue Di did not start at all. After two-three failed attempts, I realized that the steering was still locked; so, as a safety measure, the car did not start. I locked and unlocked using the smart key and it started. This problem has not repeated so far.

Blue Diamond throws some suspense and thrilling moments every now and then! Thanks for the appreciation, Vinod.
