Thanks to all those made this thread alive. I had to be away quite sometime after Quadriceps tendon surgery and was indisposed. Love to note how much support rendered by our forum friends.
I am now back to my native place- Coimbatore, I started driving ALBUS and enjoying the pleasure. Want to make some good shots and post it. Will do it soon.

I was thinking of trying a different perfume this time but disappointed.

POPPY PERFUME.jpg
Here my observations:
Pros:
High quality container/bottle, Priced @ Rs.205/- (at local shop), once a famous perfume.
Cons:
Extremely mild, unnoticeable fragrance, Cap indicates ‘made in Japan’ but box indicated ‘made under technical assistance from Japan’
I missed the extraordinary welcoming odor of My Sheldon Squash while opening the door.
I could not find out who is the original GRACE MATE POPPY manufacturer, may be long back from Japan as I could get one picture of that.

DX10 is a fake brand from China and not worth EVEN to try and I never recommend.

@ Torque200

It happens but very rarely. If you park your car outside unattended, some people are interested in fiddling.

It is available on line in amazon costs 2 to 3 Thousands, may be the advertisement say for CIVIC/ACCORD.

GENUINE HONDA 'H' EMBLEM
The specification and the quality matters. Every Honda dealer in INDIA has spares normally for replacement in accident vehicles.

It is better to buy from the dealer, may work out cheaper.

Please read this article to get an idea of the size:

Is the rim size 15? If yes then you can upgrade it to 195/60/R15.
Thanks for replying. Mine is not Alloy, The stock Steel Rims 15". Are you sure 195/60/R15 will fit on steel 15" wheels

is there any difference in spec for alloy and steel. I confirm the Rim size is 15"?
I really want to change to wider alloys but there is a chance that I may sell this car within next 2 year. I haven't changed the tires since I bought this car (2011). It has clocked around 35k km so far.

Hi all,

I went to Michelin shop here in Cochin-Kerala and they agreed that 195/60R15 can be fixed on OEM Steel wheel. The amount which they have quoted is as given below. What do you guys think? is it expensive?

195/60R15 XM2 6050/- per tyre with free fitting and balancing
195/60R15 3ST 6600/- per tyre with free fitting and balancing

(both case, for alignment need to pay additional 400/-)

Hi,

Last year I have installed 3ST in same specs on my city. I paid 6100/- per tyre. So I believe your quoted cost is fairly acceptable.

Make sure that he is authorized dealer for Michelin. They register warranty online from portal, without registration you are not eligible for any kind of warranty claim. You also get SMS on your phone number once registration is done.

Thanks.

Dear Dr. Mudhan and friends,
One tyre of my 2012 ANHC is badly damaged and had to be replaced by the stock spare MRF ZVTV 175/65 R 15 84T.
My usage is very less and the car has run only about 25K km in the last 6 years.
Please advise whether I should buy one MRF ZVTV (same as stock tyre) as new spare or I should consider upgrading all the 4 tyres and keep the stock spare as is.
If I should consider upgrading, please suggest the upgrade tyre make / number.
Thanks and regards.

The remaining tyres i suppose have a life of at least another 20000 + kms left. Usage being what it is it does not make sense to change 4 tyres. I too was in a similar dilemma at one point. But i acted rather senselessly and upgraded all my tyres to 195 / 60 / r15 and now have 3 extra 175/65 r 15 xm tyres as spare lying at home. Each tyres has at least another 25000 kms of life in it. The dealer offered 600 rs per tyre I refused as i felt it was too low.
Now my wife is threatening to make holes in them and use them as some type of seat. she even showed me the pictures of them on the internet which involve drilling holes all over them and putting plastic strings through the holes.
So if you want to be sensible and practical just pick up another single tyre.Or if you want to be adventurous and ultimately a bit silly simply upgrade. The ball is entirely in your court.

I u/g to PS3. Brilliant tyre very silent however a little too gentle I feel as it may get damaged a little too easily.

Hi,
You need to check tire condition first as tires are meant to replaced after 4 years regardless of KMs. Ultimately its a rubber and over the period of time it starts to become hard and develops small cracks in it which results into burst.
So I will suggest 1st inspect all the tires thoroughly and then decide. If you are going to replace only 1 tire then go for one as remaining 3. That way all 4 tires will be same and there is no trade pattern difference.

Tire dealers also offers heavy discount on old stock new tires for same reason. From the date of mfg. you should use tires for 5 years only. [:)]

Hope this will help you to make decision.
Thanks.

My Bosch clear advantage wiper blades have been renewed

Hello Friends, I hope you all are doing well

I have been using Bosch clear advantage wiper blades (occasionally) since 4 years and now they have torn. [lol] New one costs around 800 and old wiper blades will be wasted so I bought rubber refills instead, to minimize environmental waste! Afterall, the rubber can be easily replaced in frameless wiper blades. Anyway, cost of set of 2 is Rs. 200 and I got 3 quantities because these many not last long as original rubbers. Item took a week to reach me because they were shipped from HK via Gati/Fedex.

My car has 24" wiper blade on co-passenger side and 14" on driver side. The rubber refills are 28 inches so I had to cut them to fit. One 4" rubber is wasted but another rubber of 14" will be usable next time. Wiper blades are working perfectly now and lets see how long they last.

For instructions on how to replace the rubber blade, please check this post.

Thanks...
Best Regards
